Material existence
\nThe fundamental show
\nUnder the sun the living god
\nThe so enduring glow
\nThey seem indestructible
\nSubsisting as they do
\nEssentially one great big family
\nTangible and true<\/p>\n
A colony of wood ants
\nThe thought of war and peace
\nA natural disposition
\nA deep-rooted release
\nThe mound is on the mountain
\nCovered in deep snow
\nIrreconcilability
\nFrom the insects now below<\/p>\n
A divergence from the commonplace
\nFor several queens we see
\nAnd as Spring takes a shine upon
\nThe mound then rapidly
\nThe workers come to experience
\nThe marvel of the sun
\nAbsorbing solar magic
\nWhen the day is done<\/p>\n
A consistency of purpose
\nUnfailing in their need
\nTheir treadmill of movement
\nHelps them to succeed
\nThey warm up everyone of them
\nA transference of heat
\nWhich become mass central heating
\nIn the colony complete<\/p>\n
Like re charging their batteries
\nA kind of U V cure
\nThey all enjoy sun bathing
\nOutside is the lure
\nEven the queens take in the
\nSolar energy
\nBefore revisiting chambers
\nWhere they all live constantly<\/p>\n
Selfless cooperation
\nIs embodied in their stance
\nHarvesting the sunlight
\nThough nothing done by chance
\nClearly this regimentation
\nAre tried and tested and they
\nSeem aligned to the rhythmic
\nWhere every ant does play<\/p>\n
Its part the queens are laying
\nThe meadows up above
\nAre blossoming with wild flowers
\nSuch evidence of love
\nOf creativeness and freshness
\nThe snow melting away
\nThe equation of each moment
\nMeets the order of each day<\/p>\n
The colony of super ants
\nMeet with another clan
\nAnd war endues its not good news
\nBut a concerted plan
\nOf action is created
\nFar ranging now it be
\nWith armies sizing each other up
\nWhich seems extraordinary<\/p>\n
The swords are out and clashes
\nBegin in earnest they
\nFight to the death
\nTheir formic loads
\nSquirted rapidly
\nDissolving the enemies organs
\nAs they grapple and restrain
\nWho is to be the superior ones
\nAnd the spoils to gain<\/p>\n
Meanwhile the eggs are hatching
\nThe larvae need to be
\nGiven trophallaxis
\nFed and just to see
\nThe true regurgitation
\nThe sharing that takes place
\nA society of half a billion
\nA figure hard to face<\/p>\n
The bells can be heard ringing
\nThe cows are on their way
\nGrazing in the meadows
\nWhere they will want to stay
\nAmongst the lush green pastures
\nThe ants too feeling need
\nTo hunt down fleshy insects
\nAnd with their numbers
\nThey succeed<\/p>\n
The cows can be a nuisance
\nDisturbing the mounds as they
\nGraze and so the workers
\nCollectively they spray
\nTheir formic acid hoses
\nWhich does upset the cows
\nOfcourse it does get up their nose
\nSo does have certain powers<\/p>\n
In the forests there are Spruce Trees
\nWith peculiar gifts to give
\nSap that aphids then create
\nAnd theycan really live
\nOn honeydew the aphids
\nAre for them the dairy cow
\nThe ants milk them
\nLike crazy which is really how<\/p>\n
The trees the ants the aphids
\nCreate their symphony
\nThe music of creation
\nThe climate actually
\nRaising heat awareness
\nThe ants also they do
\nCollect the flakes of medicated resin
\nThey are true<\/p>\n
To healing using medicine
\nANTibiotics they
\nWork in collaboration
\nIts their kind of judgement day
\nThey are so effective
\nAnd highly organised
\nWhich is why they are successful
\nAnd never ill advised<\/p>\n
“Its one for all
\nAnd all for one”
\nMiniature musketeers
\nTheir loyalty and fidelity
\nReally it appears
\nTo dominate society
\nAnd build supremacy
\nWith their upper hand
\nAnd their rich reserves
\nThey retain authority<\/p>\n
These colonies of super ants
\nAre the growing trend and we
\nPerhaps can learn a great deal
\nAs they extend their territory
\nReduce the need for war games
\nAnd look ahead to peace
\nA programming of the positive
\nFor when the wars do cease<\/p>\n
Stability is possible
\nFemales develop wings
\nTheir nuptial flights
\nTo establish an extension
\nNow that brings
\nTheir pheremones into action
\nAnd attracts the so called kings<\/p>\n
The males to mate and pass on genes
\nBefore infact they die
\nThe queens may enter other mounds
\nOf field ants by and by
\nAnd hopefully be accepted
\nAnd by so doing increase the range
\nAdvance the super colony
\nAnd subsequently exchange<\/p>\n
Stranger things have happened
\nBut it surely does appear
\nThe ants are realizing
\nThere’s more to life than fear
\nAnd as they extend their territory
\nThe future apparently
\ngives rise for greater numbers
\nAnd positivity<\/p>\n
Maybe when de Pop takes most humans out
\nThe ant aliens will take over<\/p>\n
