The crimson holly berries
\nthe golden bracken stems
\nWillows greenest pillows
\nBirch leaves look like gems
\ncascading and revealing
\nthe joy of partnering wind
\nthe lovely dance of Autumn
\nhow Nature’s underpinned
\nit all, with true reflection
\na simple forest scene
\nAshridge looked resplendent
\nAnd Each day, this week I’ve been
\nobserving how the colours
\nand light festoon and say
\nto anybody’s eyes that notice
\nWinter’s on its way<\/p>\n
in the darkly hollows
\nwhere rain had fallen fast
\nRooks, were basically washing
\nclearly they aghast
\nat how warm, the sun had made it
\nand so they played away
\nwater splashing everywhere
\na right old true display
\nof who cares
\nno ones watching
\nthey did not, account for me
\nI’d been parked there for
\n3 hours
\npart of the scenery
\nso they showed me what they get
\nup to
\nwhen they have the where for all
\nI could see that Rooks
\nlike most of us
