In January a baby
\nWas found a mystery
\nAs to why the herd had left him
\nSuch a tragedy
\nCovered in dry mud and weak
\nHe had been seen by air
\nAnd he was flown to Nairobi
\nOn a drip for instant care<\/p>\n
Elephants are social animals
\nClearly orphans will
\nGo down hill and rapidly
\nIts like a bitter pill
\nThey need the love and companionship
\nWithout it they are lost
\nAnd his little soul was pining
\nAnd suffering that cost<\/p>\n
They named him Musiara
\nFrom the marsh area where
\nThe masa mara region
\nHe likened to a prayer
\nHaving the sum and substance
\nDisplaying a spirit for
\nAn enduring nature
\nFor many to adore<\/p>\n
Emotional support was key
\nCarers on his case
\nBeing fed and watered
\nEach physical embrace
\nBuilding up his confidence
\nMaking him feel whole
\nHelping him to develop
\nInto a precious soul<\/p>\n
This love has to be constant
\nSubstantial everyday
\nIt so easy to go down hill
\nFor negatives do weigh
\nHeavy on the shoulders
\nOf victims of abuse
\nWhen orphans lose their mothers
\nIts hard to introduce<\/p>\n
Another who will show them
\nThat love is all around
\nThey are not alone
\nCounselling will be found
\nAttributed to Nature
\nWho kind of holds the key
\nTo turn what was instinctive
\nInto what now can be<\/p>\n
Clearly weak and suffering
\nWith a mood and spirit for
\nLiving and for giving
\nDeep down in his core
\nClearly his disposition
\nTo be confident and strong
\nAnd able with some lasting love
\nTo assist him all along<\/p>\n
Clearly this little fellow
\nHas realised his worth
\nHe feels the love and caring
\nAs he makes his way on earth
\nHe has his crucial moments
\nWhen the wavering of fear
\nMay cross his path and thus the wrath
\nComes back to appear<\/p>\n
Touching and regarding
\nHis place his constancy
\nHe picks up on the negative
\nA wild born son so free
\nExperiencing a world of difference
\nOf Contrariety
\nBut on the other hand
\nWith a feeling that he can be<\/p>\n
Part of the new family
\nAn equivalence of pace
\nOther ele’s around about
\nWith parity and grace
\nDust baths and hydration
\nPlay and sincerity
\nFeeling part of something
\nOf creativity<\/p>\n
The Maasai the ancestral heart
\nA powerful positive name
\nSomething to live up to
\nTo affirm and to be game
\nTo adjust to his new home of homes
\nTo restore his faith and be
\nIn union with the others
\nAnd maintain the chemistry<\/p>\n
Part of the unbroken order
\nOf continuity
\nHe is really feeling dapper
\nHis life is orderly
\nIt is now his unveiling
\nHis genesis can be
\nFrom an embryo to a mammoth
\nIn the time it takes to see<\/p>\n
