Unconventional invasions
\nAre coming to our shores
\nTo our parklands to our spots of beauty
\nThe outlaws
\nAre bringing great big noisy drills
\nTankers full of slime
\nStealing huge great baths of water
\nTurning our air to grime<\/p>\n
I call it diabiolical
\nDestruction at its core
\nFracturing the marcellus shale
\nIt reminds me of a war
\nIt turns the lovely countryside
\nWe have grown up with to hell
\nNoise and dust that will disgust
\nAnd ofcourse the sulphur smell<\/p>\n
Trucks and tankers plying
\nEvery single day
\nOur water being ruined
\nIn every single way
\nOur air containing methane
\nOur water really poor
\nThe noise is awfully scary
\nAnd its becoming more<\/p>\n
Like a web of machinery
\nFlares around the place
\nIts beyond comprehension
\nIt is a disgrace
\nIts total devastation
\nPipes now everywhere
\nSpillages in our villages
\nIt really isnt fair<\/p>\n
Fracking going into the earth
\nSo far down then two
\nmiles this way
\nand That way
\nWhat are they trying to do
\nBreach our natural aquifer
\nTurn our water brown
\nFrighten all our chickens
\nAnd make it harder to reach town<\/p>\n
They have cut down all the pretty trees
\nAnd torn up all the flowers
\nOur countryside is looking sick
\nAnd now for hours and hours
\nThe tankers are now driving
\nAnd the noise is really loud
\nAn unrecognisable landscape
\nWhich doesnt make us proud<\/p>\n
Mum looks pale and says she’s weak
\nAnd we all get nose bleeds now
\nWe also have skin rashes
\nReally we dont know how
\nAll this has to happen right outside our door
\nI dont want to live here
