Writing about farmed fish
\nAs a vegan
\nIs hard to do because farmers
\nDo not think
\nBeyond their balance sheets
\nThats where the pressure lies
\nThe bankers and the other financial elites<\/p>\n
The environment it doesnt get a look in
\nThe live stock for them its just hell on earth
\nThe law surrounding fish farms is inadequate
\nAnd the public apparently dont see the worth
\nOf buying fresh and wild rather than farmed fish
\nAnd They dont see eye to eye with vegan fayre
\nThey want red salmon tv chefs are flogging it
\nBut in a nutshell no one is aware<\/p>\n
Costs are going through the roof like crazy
\nCutting costs is what its all about
\nInevitably the short cuts lead to trouble
\nAnd I am sure this crisis is without a doubt
\nSomething to do with really that scenario
\nArrogance and ignorance in tow
\nLetting the blood water a vile effluent
\nDischarge into what is the natural flow<\/p>\n
The migratory salmon wild and wonderful
\nPick up the filthy water in their way
\nPiscine reovirus and other filthy components
\nThey therefore come into contact with each day
\nAnd because its under the surface no one sees it
\nAnd so they get away with dumping there
\nInto the environment with laws that are not complied with
\nAnd so we see and feel widespread despair<\/p>\n
I dont know what the answer is these farms seem set
\nOn killing
\nMore fish than is sensible and the public seemingly
\nCarry on at eating them ofcouse in larger quantities
\nEveryone is at it thats how it looks to me
\nKnowing about processing the foods now on our table
\nA vegan diet sets you up and safeguards problems but
\nSo many want their meat and flesh and more and more and more of it
\nAnd they will pay the price deep in their gut<\/p>\n
Throwing your hands into the air and screaming
\nWill not help the situation we
\nCannot do the work thats done by nature
\nEgo’s to the fore alas they be
\nWild is what is best and thought and caring
\nEating less and the realization that we
\nCannot just exploit the earth and oceans
\nFor that will mean the end of you and me<\/p>\n
Vegans are in the fore front of saving the planet
