The road outside
\nhas many cars and lorries
\nand speed, seems to be, the essence
\nof those who
\nknow the limits 50, and sometimes
\ndown to 40
\nbut still go flat out
\nthat is what some do
\nthe cottages
\nare laid back just a little
\n16 of them
\ngazing at the road
\nshaking when pantechnicon’s come
\nrumbling
\ncarrying their really heavy load
\none such cottage opens
\ninto heaven
\na safe and warm environment
\nwhere we
\ncan share an interlude of fascination
\nof warmth, of caring
\nand intellectual glee
\na lovely hour or two
\nin the relationship
\nof thoughtfulness and soulfulness
\nand joy
\na healing place
\nwhere dragons and where totems
\nmanifest themselves
\nand one dear boy
\nwho uses his left brain
\nfor understanding
\nartificial intelligence, appears
\nto have arrived along with gifted children
\nand the gifted and the less than gifted, fears
\nare in a nutshell similar, I tend to feel
\nif anything the generations where
\npeople never grew up with computers
\nfeel out of it,and some I know despair
\nthe gifted children really are encumbant
\non our daily grind
\nthey have the where, for all to handle problems
\nbut cannot read the writing on the wall
\nThis particular cottage
\nhas a women who
\nfeels a bit reclusive
\nbut in fact
\nIn my view
\nshe has a great outpouring of
\ntruly fine proportions
\nand a life so full it couldn’t
\nbe more packed
\nbut she has immense fortitude, and has had
\nto pick herself up and go on, and just pay
\nI do respect her more than words for what she’s
\nhad to do
