The outback is inhospitable
\nArid and real dry
\nThe hot sun burning up the ground
\nWhich is really why
\nBush Angels they bear testament
\nTo the searing withering soul
\nAnd why thirst becomes
\nCrazy, and to drink their specific goal<\/p>\n
The Reds are more resilient
\nWith a lot more vitality
\nAble to withstand a drought
\nTheir survivability
\nGreater than the Greys
\nAdaptability is really not as yielding
\nAs it needs to be<\/p>\n
The kangaroos are durable
\nPerfection in a way
\nDesigned for the environment
\nAnd they work out everyday
\nEach has a good reflective layer
\nAt the back of each eye
\nSo when caught up in a spotlight
\nThey shine and that is why<\/p>\n
Shooters use their spotlights
\nAnd the eyes shine brilliant white
\nThey take aim and they shoot them dead
\nAnd others then take fright
\nThe problem is some of these so called shooters
\nare no cop
\nThey miss the head and cause injury
\nThats when I get a strop<\/p>\n
Causing them such agony
\nIts frightful and its wrong
\nThese iconic animals really do belong
\nWhere Nature has installed them
\nAnd abusing them like this
\nThrough bungling and botching
\nit is taking the piss<\/p>\n
Kangaroo’s have smallish heads
\nAnd there really is a need
\nFor a true degree of proficiency
\nFor To see Bush angels bleed
\nTo see them in a wretched state
\nAnd to see their joeys dashed
\nAgaint the bull bars of a truck
\nUntil their brains are mashed<\/p>\n
Is grotesque its a most horrific sight
\nYes these hunters have become
\nIntolerably unpleasant
\nYou might say just some
\nBut I believe the meat trade
\nAnd the leather traders they
\nAppear to not care tuppence
\nas long as its them that pay<\/p>\n
Its wickedness personified
\nIts harrowing to see
\nThese are caring mothers
\nTormented dreadfully
\nSo odious and loathsome
\nSuch an egregious way
\nThat we treat breathing natural souls
\nAnd we do that everyday<\/p>\n
So some arse can chomp on burgers
\nOr sausages with their chips
\nAnd a dose of salmonella
\nEntering via their lips
\nIn Russia or in Holland
\nExporting a disease
\nBecause we care so little
\nAnd have no desire to please<\/p>\n
It runs right through the industry
\nFrom shooters out at night
\nTo the butchering in filthy trucks
\nNo one sees the light
\nFew will see the martyr’s broken on the rack
\nFew will feel or see their tears
\nThe invidious attack<\/p>\n
This is a dirty business
\nIts rough and harsh abuse
\nOf a perfectly beautiful animal
\nThat nature had let loose
\nA totem thats on the coat of arms
\nA betrayal so to say
\nTo the ancestral spirits
\nThere is no way they should pay<\/p>\n
Those heartless government people
\nWho simply go along
\nWith the wicked brand of lobbying
\nThey feel that they belong
\nAt Harassing and pestering and infuriating
\nThose
\nExalted ones the Bush Angels
\nThat they say really pose<\/p>\n
Problems for Australia
\nIn point of fact I see
\nIts twerps who run the government
\nWho really need to be
\nSent out in the outback
\nAnd left in the hot sun
