\nSamhain is upon us dears
\nWith darkness at its core<\/p>\n
A time to honour the ancestors
\nAnd our loved ones that have passed
\nA cross quarter day
\nSee the fields lay bare
\nAnd just feel
\nWinters blast.<\/p>\n
Its the end of the harvest
\nThe emergence of winters bite
\nA time for Bats and Black Cats
\nAnd owls that may alight<\/p>\n
From Out of the minds of writers
\nLike Edgar Allan Poe
\nRavens and witches and magickal lore
\nAll seeds that some now sow<\/p>\n
It be the witches new year
\nAs the skies grow cold and gray
\nThe earth is dormant, resting
\nBonfires lit to pay<\/p>\n
Respects to fallen livestock
\nTheir bones heaped on the pyre
\nActing as a blessing
\nBy the enrichment
\nOf the fire<\/p>\n
The veil between this world and that
\nIs thinner and whats more
\nIts a goodly time to reach them
\nWith ceremonies galore<\/p>\n
About half way between the Autumn Equinox
\nAnd Yule
\nCome join the circle at rollright stones
\nAnswering the call<\/p>\n
Feel their sense of being
\nAs they join us on this hour
\nA sip of mead to counteract
\nJack frost and his powerm.<\/p>\n
Its a supernatural happening
\nA time of flux and change
\nOf piousness and veneration
\nRight across the range<\/p>\n
Without our dear ancestors
\nWhere now would we be
\nTheir earnestness their fervour
\nAnd their sincerity<\/p>\n
Feel them in our midst today
\nThe prophecy as told
\nFriends who have come from near and far
\nTo join us and to hold<\/p>\n
Countenance with all of us
\nWhoever we may be
\nWithin these glorious ancient stones
\nWhere every soul feels free<\/p>\n
