\nHang and we must ask why
\nLiana’s,epiphytes draw from the air
\nAnd the raindrops that fall
\nfor all now to share
\nThe forest floor with
\nThe litter of the gods
\nWhere stink birds and snakes
\nAnd reptiles are at odds
\nAll trying to catch a fresh meal
\nOr two
\nIn what is a mish mash of
\nCompost and dew
\nSo much to realize
\nSo much to see
\nGreat shoots and tendrils
\nThe canopy
\nhigh in the heavens
\nBasked in the light
\nOf the moon’s silver ball
\nEncouraging night<\/p>\n
