In the Andean cloud forests
\nA warm hanging shroud
\nDrifts from the clouds
\nAnd feels kind of proud
\nSitting quietly on gnarled boughs
\nAnd gleaming leaves
\nThat spreads at light level
\nAnd quietly achieves<\/p>\n
All kinds of parrots
\nSing cluck and bring
\nTheir myriad music
\nEach one a king
\nOf melodious rapture
\nAnd sensorial prose
\nThat gives back much more
\nAs anyone knows<\/p>\n
Such life force abundance
\nComes hither and to
\nTen foot of Condor
\nA Tapir or two
\nA spectacled Bear
\nWith its patches so true<\/p>\n
At 6000feet they happen
\nAnd they
\nrise into the great clouds
\nWhere epiphytes play
\nOrchids so beautiful just everywhere
\nAnd all kinds of funghi
\nCreated by air<\/p>\n
Winds that are bitter
\nCarrying frost
\nThe great Andes mountains
\nExact a great cost
\nVolcanic spirits leap into the sky
\nWith their myriad streams
\nWe must never belie<\/p>\n
The magic that spreads
\nOver everything here
\nThe height of perfection
\nAbundantly clear
\nRejuvenation its healing we see
\nBefore our tired eyes
\nA true therapy<\/p>\n
