The monster within me
\nBecame me
\nThe angry old man took control
\nThe poet so called
\nWas heartless and soulless
\nBut thought in his way he had fooled<\/p>\n
Anyone really around him
\nAll the sick traits well endowed
\nThe mirror was not how he saw himself
\nFor this monster was heard in the crowd
\nFreakishness took his behaviour
\nInto the realms may be so
\nHis ugliness clearly apparent
\nBy anyone in the know<\/p>\n
From the angry young man
\nTo the codger
\nTo the brute with the suit
\nOf mo hair
\nEmpathy he couldnt know what that was
\nIf he knew well he never could share<\/p>\n
The odd man out in his puzzle of life
\nThe square peg stuck in the round hole
\nA fish out of water a mutant
\nA weirdo if that be his role
\nSelfish a psycho suggesting
\nSelf admiration his tool
\nEgo centricity his electricity
\nSelf seeking self interest a fool<\/p>\n
Cupboard love meanness ambition and power
\nIts I I I I thats for sure
\nThats the philosophy surrounding this monster
\nA clown frightens children and why?
\nSincerity went out the window
\nIts a trait of the axe grinding trog
\nMonoplistic greedy possessive
\nOn the freeway this arse is the hog<\/p>\n
As for criticism no toleration
\nSuperiority is their thing
\nThey love themselves their disorder is rife
\nSuch self importance and feelings of strife
\nTheir cause to others dismissed in a blink
\nThese monsters not one of them ever could think<\/p>\n
Conceited they puff up their chest and they fly
\nCocky and bumptious self praise it comes high
\nSelf congratulation me-ism their trait
\nPretensious and pompous who dares to wait
\nSelf loving dogmatic too clever by half
\nToo big for their boots right off the graph
\nMaybe a disorder of exaggeration
\nA monster infact wanting much admiration
\nThey lack understanding and actually they
\nWill never be mindful and their dying day
\nWill make not the slightest of difference they pay<\/p>\n
A price far beyond what they could afford
\nThey will quite quietly agonize upon their own sword
\nNobody caring how they did die
\nNobody close with a tear in their eye
\nNot even the maggots who scamper to chew
\nWill lose the sick feeling that is my view
\nA thoroughly ugly devisive clown
\nWho in his own bile will hopefully drown<\/p>\n
Written for someone who taught me to look within myself more
