\nHardly ever seen
\nA primate with a difference

Great big eyes lustrous
\nAnd all seeing Revolving ears
\nThe object being they
\nNeed to catch live insects
\nEvery tiny movement
\nA long tail too that helps it
\nOn its way<\/p>\n
A genuineness primordial
\nOf purpose
\nFound on Bohol island
\nAnd Mindanao
\nPerfectly adapted
\nWith very strange long fingers
\nRately seen which probably is how<\/p>\n
The tarsier has become a real life mystery
\nAs cute a face as you might ever see
\nClearly in the ascendancy
\nNocturnal hunting methods
\nA player on the pipes of pan
\nA singularity<\/p>\n
The area has unique hills
\nAnd thick jungle
\nThough tragically we have seen
\nSlash and burn
\nFields of rice have
\nCome in place of forests
\nAnd for many forest dwellers
\nTimes are lean<\/p>\n
They do however look just like
\nAn alien
\nIts their great big brown eyes
\nThat reflect so much
\nIts like looking into a mirror
\nA portal to their soul
\nEveryone who sees them wants to touch<\/p>\n
Only found in the Philippines
\nSecretive and shy
\nBut very adept at catching insects
\nReally as they fly
\nIts head can turn 360 degrees
\nAnd so its fast
\nOf catching what ever its after
