A pet dog on your lap
\nRequires responsibility
\nA sound mind and a sense of care
\nA personality
\nA balance of behaviours
\nAnd perceptivity<\/p>\n
Clearly all can realise
\nHer insentient quality
\nUnhearing and oblivious
\nTo the small dogs difficulty
\nOn a leash and pulled about
\nAnd bitten in rhe face
\nNothing rational about this
\nTo onlookers a disgrace<\/p>\n
On a Toronto subway train
\nWitnessed by others who
\nWoud be shocked to hear the response
\nFor the whimpering was true
\nBelievable and upsetting
\nIt continued Throughout
\nAs she admonished and she ill treated
\nAnd the dog knew all about<\/p>\n
Her anger, and her unenlightened state
\nOh! She clearly was
\nLost in her own stupor
\nGoodness knows because
\nShe clearly had no notion
\nOf her animal and she
\nWas pretty bloody gormless
\nThats if you ask me<\/p>\n
A half wit with no clear idea
\nHow to treat a pet
\nTaking out whatever
\nAnd clearly the dog let
\nHer yank him this way
\nYank him that
\nBite his little face
\nSo bloody cruel to be like that
\nAnd in a public place<\/p>\n
Tis clear its not the first time
\nA victim thats for sure
\nA pretty little picture
\nSo Well outside the law
\nAnd she was never furtive
\nShe blatantly took aim
\nClearly in denial though,
\nThat her action could
\ninflame<\/p>\n
Cruelty is everywhere
\nIts so painful to see
\nSome get away with murder
\nWhen really they should be
\ntold in no uncertain terms
\nthat animals cannot be
\nTrusted in a relationship
\nWith them and thats a plea<\/p>\n
I put out to the courts
\nA lifetime ban has got to be
\nIn place for all this ignorance
\nAnd blatant cruelty
\nFines and prison do something
\nBut life time bans do more
\nAnd animal cruelty registers
\nTell communities what for<\/p>\n
Although she left
\nthe train at St George with the dog
\nShe was traced the dog is safe and the police
