A spider
\nwalks on 8 legs
\nimagine that
\nand be
\nrespectful of
\na creature
\nwith such
\nspontaneity
\nwe have only 2 legs
\nand problems
\nsometimes too
\nI can’t imagine
\nhow a spider does
\nwhat spiders do<\/p>\n
its brain has to be
\ntiny
\nand yet it still controls
\nits legs
\nand its a builder
\nof webs
\na clever soul
\nsustainably adjusted
\nwith silks on which
\nto weave
\nvery minute thickness
\nwith a strength
\nyou cant believe<\/p>\n
There is a lady spider
\nliving in my room
\nwith me
\nshe’s really quite
\nenormous
\nas big as she can be
\nand I notice
\nshe is capable
\nshe can climb up any wall
\nand walk across the ceiling
\nI can’t, I would fall<\/p>\n
I have named her
\nand I call her Destiny
\nshe’s not like any other
\nI have seen
\nher legs are really long
\nher silks are really strong
\nher body elongated
\nand quite green<\/p>\n
She only really peers
\nat me at midnight
\nafter that some how
\nshe disappears
\nthere’s not so many places
\nthat she can hide
\nher great long legs
\nbut there is something about
\nher that endears<\/p>\n
she must know I could squash her
\njust like that, I could
\nbut I do not intend to
\nthat’s for sure
\nbut does she know that
\nthat’s why I am curious
\nand why she scampers off across
\nthe floor<\/p>\n
I had the chance to have a real
\ngood look at her
\nshe came out of my printer
\nnice and slow
\nalmost in slow motion
\nwas she showing some emotion
\nagain you see
\nthere’s no way that I know<\/p>\n
And she never goes back
\nto the same place
\nthat she was the night before
\nshe’s always somewhere
\ndifferent
\npretending, I ignore
\nI know she’s there
\nbut do not look
\nthat’s when she tends
\nto be
\nedging closer very subtle
\nmovements actually<\/p>\n
perhaps it is game she plays
\nwonderingly free
\nperhaps she’s really
\ncurious and may even like me
\nor perhaps she hasn’t seen me
\ndoesn’t know that I exist
\nthat could account for her closeness
