The two legged variety
\nTheir teminology
\nOf humankind
\nThat blows my mind
\nFor such a term can’t be<\/p>\n
A universal statement
\nNot the one’s I know
\nThe farm where I was brought into their world
\nLife there was low<\/p>\n
Their frailty, their obtuseness
\nTheir insensitivity
\nAll those filthy cages
\nAnd the torment there that be
\nAn ever growing problem
\nTheir harrowing desire
\nTo subject us to such evil
\nHow they made each hour more dire<\/p>\n
We wild souls need our freedom
\nWire cages will not do
\nThey so mess with our feet and legs
\nA problem thats not new
\nAnd knowing that we live there
\nOnly for our fur
\nThat is why we are alive
\nReally why we were<\/p>\n
Given the great miracle of life
\nTo breathe and be
\nOut in the vast countryside
\nNot caged up instantly
\nThe fetid life where putrefaction
\nIs the order of our day
\nThe mustiness and staleness
\nThe malodorous display<\/p>\n
The wailing and the howling
\nThe cacophony from hell
\nIt just is pandemonium
\nAnd ofcourse that smell
\nOf death and of real anger
\nThat permeates us all
\nThe bedlam that is everywhere
\nThe doom and gloom on call<\/p>\n
I think it is the inevitable
\nThat makes it very hard
\nThere is no escape from the
\nThe end game
\nWhen someone marks your card
\nAnd anal electrocution
\nIs the order of the day
\nWhen you become a lifeless shape
\nA corpse thats made to pay<\/p>\n
Their blank minds clearly upset us
\nTheir thoughtlessness for me
\nThey disregard our feelings
\nIndeed their laxity
\nNeglectful of our wishes
\nAbandoned thats the life
\nWe can expect from humans
\nJust more and more real strife<\/p>\n
That I indeed was rescued
\nAnd given another chance
\nThat I could share some freedom
\nAnd human love and dance
\nA fair old jig of joy whilst
\nKnowing life ahead of me
\nWas feeling the wild spirit
\nManifested instantly<\/p>\n
Seeing smelling nature
\nExercise and more
\nBreathing in the fresh pure air
\nDirectly from my core
\nThe elegance and harmony
\nThe rhythm and the blues
\nThe artistic and the polished
\nAnd the light and all the views<\/p>\n
Refreshment the reviving force
\nThe undemanding who
\nWant to simply play wuth you
\nUnlike some souls who do
\nHave other traits and other reasons
\nAnd its all downhill from there
\nThe feeling of being cared about
\nOf a human who wants to share<\/p>\n
Some time with you to comfort
\nTo play to love to be
\nTo have some understanding
\nAnd solidarity
\nSweetness and light
\nAnd love and peace
\nAnd harmony all around
\nJumping bobbing dancing
\nJust being on the ground<\/p>\n
No longer a captive or a victim
\nAny more
\nBehind bars under lock and key
\nHeld by a rusty door
\nYou have won that promise
\nThat lovely guarantee
\nThat fur that you were born with
\nIs yours for an eternity<\/p>\n
