A paintbrush of blue sky above us
\nThe greenest of greens all around
\nBalaton Lake’s natural beauty
\nA storm coming bringing the sound
\nOf the gods in the clouds with their great drums
\nThe wind scything up Through the reeds
\nRain causing mini explosions to burst
\nOne little eagle unable to fly
\nFalls and bleeds<\/p>\n
A victim so many sweet victims
\nLost to the anger of night
\nBrazenly blustering this way and that
\nThinking back why was this right?
\nWhat has that eagle really ever done
\nTo die in such squalor and pain
\nBlown from the eerie out into the sky
\nThe angels of death seem insane<\/p>\n
Hurled in a flustered state
\nDown to the lake
\nAnd washed Through its watery grave
\nAlone in that maelstrom did
\nTake umbrage to
\nNobody put there to save
\nSo into the waters below the great tree
\nWhilst his brother was still safely
\nStashed on the nest<\/p>\n
Paradise lost in that moment
\nOne little soul left to be
\nFacing the quest of the moment
\nAnd,soon would be flying free
\nThe vastness the enormousness
\nThe abundance
\nTranscending the spirit of time
\nThe first leap of faith took its young breath away
\nAnd into the thermals did climb<\/p>\n
Pumping and jumping and feeling and reeling
\nThe life force creating the way
\nFlapping and gliding and hovering and riding
\nThe chemistry working to play
\nOut to the heavens above us
\nDown to the great lakes below
\nOut to the fields of brown cattle
\nThat roll in the grasses and grow<\/p>\n
Bigger by day on all that rich grass
\nFew see the eagle that rose
\nOut of the tree tops to make its first flight
\nAnd pounce on some fish that did pose
\nNear the surface where sunlight did quickly
\nDeliver a blow from the sky
\nThe eagle had not only landed
\nBut its talons tied up with its eye
\nBrought about the true success here
\nAnd the chubb in the river would die
\nmuch death dolled out to so many people
\nAnd all of it seemingly unnecessary
