After the earthquake
\nCame so many orphans
\nTheir parents all wiped out
\nSo where could they go
\nThey became relocated
\nWithin the family
\nBut actually slaves

Tent cities
\nAnd slums are of such shabby
\nStructures
\nHardly presentable
\nIn this day and age
\nNo sanitation
\nConfined and in custody
\nRestrained by the circumstance

Generally families

\nMade them then work as slaves without pay
\nNo education
\nOppressed and downtrodden
\nA sort of detention

RESTAVEK Children
\nThats what they call them
\nLiving in fear working all the day long
\nThey sleep on the hard ground
\nAnd eat what they are given
\nOften they are beaten

Hidden in plain sight

\nappalling conditions
\nThey do work away
\nIts Hard to eradicate
\nWhat is going on on the eyes

\nThe patrols are visibly

\nThis subjugation

Imagine the children
\nThey have infact nothing
\nTheir freedom to be
\nWas just stolen away
\nJust as they have work
\nTime constraints too
\nIts tougher and they suffer
\nSo yes they do<\/p>\n
Their lives spiral downwards
\nSlavery hurts
\noverwhelmed by it all
\nBrought to ones knees
\nIn a parlous bondage
\nAnd oft beaten too
\nThey work all hours
\nAnd have a curfew<\/p>\n
At least ten per cent
\nOf the whole population
\nOf children are slaves
\nDespite what we feel
\nEach slave knows their place
\nWhich was once a slave haven
\nThe fact that it carries on
\nAnd it is real<\/p>\n
The strictness of life
\nSo uncompromising
\nRelentless exploitation
\nAnd punitive too
\nA masterful auntie or uncle
\nExpecting
\nAn austere existence
\nAnd compliance all through<\/p>\n
DEspite all the money
\nThe Clinton Foundation
\nSupposed to have injected
\nThe housing is bad
\nThe land of high mountains
