{"id":33254,"date":"2017-06-01T18:52:47","date_gmt":"2017-06-01T18:52:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=33254"},"modified":"2017-06-01T18:55:14","modified_gmt":"2017-06-01T18:55:14","slug":"who-be-the-god-of-poetry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2017\/06\/who-be-the-god-of-poetry\/","title":{"rendered":"WHO BE THE GOD OF POETRY?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Who be the god of poetry?<br \/>\nNOrse Mythology long ago<br \/>\nIn a cave where stalactites<br \/>\nHung in such glory and all aglow<br \/>\nThe son of ODIN and gunlods<br \/>\nHis eloquence was fine<br \/>\nHe played a golden harp<br \/>\nAnd sang and his words were just divine<\/p>\n<p>Everywhere was magickal<br \/>\nGemstones one could see<br \/>\nThe dwarfs had placed him in a boat<br \/>\nAnd cast him on the sea<br \/>\nThrough the subterranean darkness<br \/>\nTo Nain or so they say<br \/>\nAt that point he sat up<br \/>\nAnd took his harp and He did play<\/p>\n<p>His dulcet tones entered the bones<br \/>\nIt was where they did belong<br \/>\nMoving hearts and souls to tears<br \/>\nAnd so he travelled through the years<br \/>\nWith eloquence and rhyming<br \/>\nA patron he became<br \/>\nOf bards and skalds<br \/>\nAnd faery folk<br \/>\nReally his claim to fame<\/p>\n<p>Gold runes filled his so  white beard<br \/>\nAnd the ringlets of his hair<br \/>\nBragi was spellbingingly<br \/>\nSilver tongued and aware<br \/>\nArticulate beyond his age<br \/>\nWith the crispest oratory<br \/>\nHis poems they provided light<br \/>\nFirvthose who couldnt see<\/p>\n<p>Beyond the darkness and into<br \/>\nThe very souls of man<br \/>\nHis countenance progressive<br \/>\nIt had always been his plan<br \/>\nTo use his words and couplets<br \/>\nAnd the music from his lyre<br \/>\nTo create unlaboured rhythm<br \/>\nAnd of course such boundless fire<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Who be the god of poetry?
