\nAre shipped into plantations
\nThe so called laws they bend
\nIt is very dangerous work
\nUsing the machete
\nCarrying really excessive weights
\nAnd spraying really terribly<\/p>\n
When asked the corporations
\nTurn their heads away
\nThey say it isnt happening
\nNot now anyway
\nAnd we yea the consumers
\nJust buying what we see
\nFail to see the angst and woe
\nAnd the real adversity<\/p>\n
Parents missing children
\nStolen everyday
\nChildren being bought and sold
\nAnd working for no pay
\nThis is really iniquitous
\nIts abuse and it is shame
\nThey are making a killing
\nAnd fail to share the blame<\/p>\n
There is nothing good about them
\nAnd they know who they are
\nWith lots of fair trade and organic brands
\nWho can afford to spar
\nOut there in the market place
\nBut up against those who
\nHave the market in their lap
\nThere is little that they can do<\/p>\n
For each child the crooks get 230 euros
\nThat includes
\ntransport for an idefinate time
\nThe profit that exudes
\nFrom all their bloody balance sheets
\nIn the face of these sad souls
\nAnd few around are prepared to say
\nOr step the controls<\/p>\n
Interpol has interjected
\nAnd rescued children, they
\nHave been brought home to their villages
\nFrom all those miles away
\nMany have been injured
\nSeriously so
\nBut the powers to be deny it
\nNo one wants to know<\/p>\n
Over a million children
\nAre suffering this crime
\nNo school no education
\nJust working all the time
\nIts a hazardous profession
\nAnd dengi fever rules
\nAnd without the protection
\nOf mosquito sprays
\nReally only fools<\/p>\n
Would work in these dire places
\nWhich of course is why
\nChildren are trafficked from Niger
\nAnd from Mali and some die
\nLeg wounds shoulder wounds hernia’s
\nAll for the corporate prize
\nOf sacrificing children
\nAnd hearing of their demise<\/p>\n
Ask the suoermarkets
\nAnd the manufacturers where
\nThe chocolate that they are selling comes from
\nAnd beware
\nIf they say from the Ivory COast
\nThen query the factor here
\nAnd if you are unsure about it
\nDont buy make it clear<\/p>\n
Buy fair trade or organic
\nThats your requirement now
\nThere really is no middle way
\nAsk yourselves now how
\nFor your sweet tooth you are prepared
\nTo sacrifice those boys
