We miss much
\nIn the world below
\nOur feet, the waters edge
\nWhere many creatures live out their lives
\nPerhaps on a flank or ledge
\nIn a watery darkness
\nA dream or nightmare where
\nThe dawn of time is evident
\nAnd today i am going to share<\/p>\n
A glimpse below the surface
\nWhere the handsome pike does lie
\nPatient he is waiting quietly
\nWith a quite dark eye
\nLooking for his supper
\nA nice soft squidgy frog
\nWith bulbous eyes and far from wise
\nJust behind a log<\/p>\n
A predator of standing
\nStreamlined through and through
\nOne great lunge of energy
\nAnd the frog is gone to woo
\nA princess in an even darker place
\nThe great pikes gut
\nTo be pickled by the fishes juices
\nNow his mouth is shut<\/p>\n
The frogs have lost a member
\nWho didnt see it coming
\nNot until that awful sound
\nOf a great big heart a drumming
\nThe slosh of flush and bluster
\nThe sucking sound as he
\nDescended into the fishes mouth
\nAnd never again would see<\/p>\n
Daylight on the surface
\nNor the dragon flies so blue
\nOne minute he was happy
\nThe next his life was through
\nMelting in the acidic juice
\nRolling that way and this
\nRubbing up against other clutter
\nAn event he would have chose to miss<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
