The great overtures we hear
\nWithin the ocean
\nThe great whale songs
\nThat lift the mariners hearts
\nInto perpetuity externally forever
\nThe philosophy of existence that just starts<\/p>\n
To resonate in spirits undeniably
\nFor sum and substance
\nIt can reach our core
\nIts so intensely beautiful
\nTo listen to
\nBecause in actuality its raw<\/p>\n
Sound, communication on a level
\nFar beyond the thought patterns of man
\nWho feels he is the genius
\nAnd animals are lowly
\nSo digitally engaged
\nAnd thus no fan<\/p>\n
The arrogance spreads forth
\nInto humanity
\nA soulless disregard
\nSpreads near and far
\nHumiliates cetaceans in the moment
\nAnd some nations annihilate our star<\/p>\n
They make excuses talking up their culture
\nScience and research a chosen sphere
\nSlavery they have brought it back for theme parks
\nCruelty beyond the range of fear
\nDestruction of a species for entertainment
\nThe corporate world of balance sheets and woe
\nNone of them will ever be a prophet
\nThey are low life they are ignorant we know<\/p>\n
Whales present a miraculous ascendancy
\nTropic cascades an ecological path
\nDeeply diving and rising to the surface
\nSustains the living ocean against the wrath
\nThe evil that is man and his pollution
\nThe over fishing dark mentality
\nThe great whales feed at depths
\nAnd create their fecal plumes
\nRich in iron and nitrogen
\nAnd corresponding blooms<\/p>\n
Exciting with their whereforall
\nCreating a rich stew
\nOf plankton feeding and sustaining
\nEnlivening the brew
\nThrough the watery columns
\nUp and down they go
\nCreating life around them
\nAnd the CO2 does flow<\/p>\n
Back down to the darker depths
\nThey take it from the air
\nThey do what chem trails will never do
\nTheir miracle they share
\nThey actually are the angels
\nThey re balance when we err
\nThey undo our damage
\nInfact I wish we were<\/p>\n
All more understanding
\nOf the role in which they play
\nFor every soul we harpoon
\nWe actually delay
\nOur progress and our lifes blood
\nThat ethos is all wrong
\nWe are murdering our saviour
\nWho are singing out their song<\/p>\n
Trying to make us realise
\nThe damage that we do
\nThe gill nets and the oil spills
\nAnd the plastics now on view
\nOn every beach now everywhere
\nOur filth it can be seen
\nIt replicates our own blood systems
\nDarkly and obscene<\/p>\n
JApan enslaves the dolphins
\nAnd sells them near and far
\nIt slaughters them like crazy
\nPiths them a great scar
\nDevelops in their karma
\nThe fishermen of TAIJI
\nThe slaughterers are creating
\nA vile contumacy<\/p>\n
Cetaceans belong to no one
\nThey are wild and live in pods
\nUniversally positive each true to their gods
\nThey all live macrobiotically
\nUnlike the japanese
\nWho go against the IWC
\nJust so thet can please<\/p>\n
Themselves can make up stories
\nAbout tradition and what they do
\nLying by enslaving and supplying any zoo
\nAny corporate arrogance that comes up with some dough
\nDealing in blood money
\nAs the activists all know<\/p>\n
ICeland and now Norway
\nBoth of them agree
\nKilling whales is lucrative
\nAnd selling them on they be
\nGetting around the environment uylaws
\nPariahs in a way
\nAlso supplying the Japanese
\nWhich helps them all to pay<\/p>\n
The Faroese and the grind pursued
\nIs another ghastly way
\nOf using their get out of jail card
\nOn any given day
\nTheir dreadful slaughtering tactics
\nOf umpteen pilot whales
\nLoaded with methyl mercury
\nAnd vast PCB trails<\/p>\n
These countries I have spoken of
\nAre pariahs of the world
\nConcealing their dark energy
\nIn which they now have hurled
\nExcuses by the barrel load
\nUnaffable are they
\nStand-offish even haughty

They are selfishly continuing
\nTo in essence affect us all
\nParsimonious morons
\nOur boycotts should now fall
\nHeavily down upon them
\nFor their intransigence abroad
\nUnknowingly they are adding to

\nThe squabbles in the sky
\nThe ugliness dirty pollutive ways
\nCausing more of rus to die
\nAnd all because the treasured whales
\nAre our saviours of the sea
\nSinging their vast overtures
\nWhich in turn is theirs soulful plea<\/p>\n
With Sea Shepherd now out there
\nAnd cove guardians as well
\nProtectors all around the world
\nTrying hard to tell
\nThe murderers and enslavers
\nThat what they do is wrong
\nAnd the enmity we are faced with
\nIgnores the great whales song<\/p>\n
And what is now a vendetta
\nAn antagonistic mob
\nOpposed to setting cetaceans free
\nEach embittered yob
\nWe face each spiteful intolerant
