Forsythia’s blaze of yellow
\nIs heralded at Spring
\nOstara draws emotions
\nAnd to our eyes does bring
\nGreat anticipation
\nA beautiful embrace
\nThe olive families treasure
\nBrimstone at a pace<\/p>\n
Named after William Forsyth
\nA Scottish Botanist
\nA deciduous shrub with four lobed flowers
\nThat creates a sunshine mist
\nIn gardens growing wildly
\nIts deep yellow refrain
\nIts Flowers appear before its leaves
\nAnd that Dear’s is our gain<\/p>\n
For the tremendous flush of springtime
\nBoldly makes its stand
\nIt is known as the Easter Tree
\nAnd nothing looks as grand
\nTo the eyes drenched in just greenness
\nFor to see this golden sight
\nCreates a wondrous bounty
\nAnd I’d say instant delight<\/p>\n
It produces a milk sugar
\nA miracle in fact
\nNo other plant can do this
\nAnd how do we react
\nTo that news for outside of milk
\nSuch sugars don’t exist
\nIt surely works its magic
\nIn its bold and glaring mist<\/p>\n
