Existence for them
\nHas miraculously
\nCreated a world
\nWhose historicity
\nIs one that no matter
\nHow tiny they be
\nThey frighten the humans
\nBut how can that be?<\/p>\n
Air breathing arthropods
\nSilk weaving souls
\nWith 4 pairs of eyes
\nWho take on many roles
\nThey have fangs and venom
\nAnd are all on the web
\nSo many species
\nBut their lives seldom ebb
\nFor they flow and they blow
\nOn their silk atrings they fly
\nOver the bhshes and into the sky <\/p>\n
A lifespan of two years
\nSo not all that long
\nTheir silk on the other
\nIs really strong
\nTarantulas live 25 years
\nFor they are fortunate
\nReally to live for the day
\nSilk glands in their feet
\nImagine if we
\nCould could make we s with out toes
\nSuch dexterity<\/p>\n
More women than men
\nSeem frightened it seems
\nThough children see problems
\nThe come in their dreams
\nOften when named we go to the bath
\nAnd that when we see them
\nMaking their path
\nRight by the plug hole
\nThats when we feel
\nIntimidated alarmed for real
\nWe see hair where there is no hair
\nAnxious we feel
\nIn mortal terror
\nThey are erratic and
\nHave lots of legginess
\nWe understand<\/p>\n
They are sudden movers
\nAnd do move with speed
\nThey can get in our bed
\nAnd in there they can feed
\nOn us thats our problem
\nImagination
\nAngst and anxiety
\nAnd trepidation<\/p>\n
They have great courage
\nI have one on my car
\nSits on my mirror
\nNo matter how far
\nI drive or how fast
\nHe is always there<\/p>\n
Clearly a hunter
\nWho catches the flies
\nThe gnats and the mosquitis
\nUnder our eyes
\nHe hangs on for dear life
\nWith the aid of his silk
\nRestoring his foot hold
