Wounded and dying
\nEaten away by maggots all over him
\nOn that sad day
\nNobody loved him or cared for him
\nHe
\nWas passing and close to it apparently<\/p>\n
ANimals aid unlimited they
\nFound this poor soul
\nStarving away
\nManaged to pet him
\nSaw his response
\nDespite all his injuries
\nHe showed some nonce<\/p>\n
He was still in the presence
\nFighting to be
\nRescued by someone
\nHopeful to see
\nThough draining away
\nEvery moment it seemed
\nAll of his wishes
\nAll that he dreamed<\/p>\n
Had suddenly come true
\nThe angels were here
\nWrapped him in a blanket
\nAnd carried him clear
\nTook him to a place
\nWhere great love and care
\nWas administered lovingly
\nWhere all were aware<\/p>\n
Of his frantic condition
\nMaggots had eaten
\nMuch of his head
\nIt seemed he was beaten
\nBut inside a will
\nHe was not going to die
\nHe would fight for the right
\nTo look into the sky<\/p>\n
They washed him and treated his mange
\nThis poor soul
\nKilled off the maggots
\nAnother goal
\nIn his coming back into
\nThe life once he shared
\nAnd now he is home
\nCompletely repaired<\/p>\n
Love goes a long way
\nBut must be maintained
\nAnd clearly His warrior spirit
\nOrdained
\nHe is nice and strong
\nAnd his name is I hear
\nMajor Sahib and nothing does he fear<\/p>\n
He can walk he can run
\nHe is good for a while
\nReally this hound has got lots of style
\nWasting away on an Indian street
