Stolen I was stolen
\nI might well be extinct
\nLeft to fester in a hovel
\nIt was as if I blinked
\nAnd all my world came
\nTumbling down
\nThe jungle the despair
\nTook everything I ever had
\nAnd left me without care<\/p>\n
Dehumanised forever
\nOffended by it all
\nScowling in my darkness
\nTreachery on call
\nChained up in a dark place
\nEntirely on my own
\nI had become somebodys pet
\nBut infact was all alone<\/p>\n
Wrapped up in themselves
\nThese types of people on the whole
\nTaking over someone’s thoughts
\nWanting the control
\nLiving with a shamefulness
\nAnd a lack of understanding
\nFor we who become victims
\nTo those always expanding<\/p>\n
Their scrutiny their compliment
\nTheir own artfulness
\nTaking without thinking
\nOf the encroaching stress
\nChimpanzee’s are social creatures
\nLiving For each day
\nSo being forcibly taken from it
\nIts disrespect at play<\/p>\n
Complete humiliation
\nIt desecrates our soul
\nWe do feel spurned and spat upon
\nHaving lost our role
\nLife then has no meaning
\nWe are prisoners in fear
\nTortured into believing
\nThats its better to be here<\/p>\n
Human beings clearly are complex to a tee
\nOver indulged in many ways
\nAnd seldom are free
\nThey cage themselves in their wicked thoughts
\nDenying others who
\nLive simple very natural lives
\nShorter maybe but true<\/p>\n
For me perhaps its facebook
\nWhere my face you see
\nPerhaps the sense of being
\nAnd some integrity
\nWill be wholly realised
\nAnd my freedom might just be
\nGranted thanks to others
\nWho actually see me<\/p>\n
Who actually live with mindfulness
\nAnd compassion at their core
\nWho believe that animals should have rights
\nAnd will not ignore
\nMine and others predicament
\nAnd actually set us fair
\nGive us back our freedom
\nJust help us to share<\/p>\n
An interlude of honour
\nAnd a belonging and regard
\nFor frienship and for family
\nFor exotica has scarred
\nSo many of us sadly
\nWhat is hostility
\nAnd really an irreverence
\nFor how life ought to be<\/p>\n
