Its, the devil of a life
\nTo be a carrion crow
\nPeople think thats all we eat
\nIs dead stuff as you know
\nReally thats a human trait
\nSo perhaps humans should be
\nCarrion humans in a nutshell
\nThats if you ask me.<\/p>\n
I dont mind, the road kill
\nIts fresh,the only thing
\nIt does get a bit dangerous
\nRetrieval it can bring
\nWorries all those vehicles
\nPassing by at speed
\nI think some put their foot down too
\nIt feels like that, indeed!<\/p>\n
Dragging corpses off the road
\nYes its really hell
\nBut its better if we eat it
\nBecause it keeps us well
\nIn the forest there is a lot
\nBut honest I am not a blot
\nOn the environment
\nLittle mice
\nAnd Voles sometimes and
\nthey do taste nice<\/p>\n
Seeds and acorns I re sow
\nMore trees planted
\nThat can grow
\nAs the forest trees grow tall
\nThey lop the lower branches all
\nWhich disadvantages the small birds
\nBut More insects for me in other words<\/p>\n
So the tits and gold crests fly away
\nAnd wood pigeons and me and perhaps a jay
\nWill have our feast on the forest floor
\nChanges really for evermore
\nLess carrion and more living stuff
\nTo be Honest I cant get enough<\/p>\n
In Scotland when we get the chance
\nOn those high crags where hawthorns dance
\nLots of insects like those trees
\nJuicy moths so its all a breeze
\nwe build our nest atop of there
\nTake away we all can share
\nIt really is a great pastime
\nWhere life becomes for us sublime<\/p>\n
