Out of the mists comes the white souls of Imbolc
\nA spectre of ermine and fresh fallen snow
\nTis there where the faeries would dance in the morning
\nBefore the light comforts the path where I go<\/p>\n
As gentle as any young dancer on tip toe
\nWho faithfully lifts up her arms to the sky
\nSteady and balanced in glorious movement
\nSent by the breezes that blow from on high<\/p>\n
With tresses of green confounding the infinite
\nAnd a perfection transcending us all
\nSurpassing all others creating the perfect
\nWith all of her accoutrements very much now on call<\/p>\n
Imbolc does herald the spirit of Brigid
\nThe entireness and wholeness of harmony’s bond
\nThis great bunch of joyousness breaks through the frost to
\nDeliver its message before I abscond<\/p>\n
That was their debut their initiation
\nAlmost esoteric as to why they are here
\nThe rawness of Winter their race ever skywards
\nHoping to enter the light of the year<\/p>\n
Their newness is evident virginal innocence
\nNow comes to mind
\nFrom the cold earth they forced their way
\nInto the moment
\nA new generation of beauty we find<\/p>\n
The eyes of the druid the witch and the keen ones
\nSpotted the first tips of greenery where
\nThe vigour and drive was created and ready
\nTo champion growth and to honourably share<\/p>\n
The emotion of looking of seeing and caring
\nFor all these young sentinels coming to see
\nThe fresh flush of pink faces cold noses old posies
\nMade joyful having regard for the snowdrops that be<\/p>\n
Standing together february’s fervour intense and strenuous
\nInfluenced by
\nThe impulse on imbolc
\nThe lambs coiled and leaping
