{"id":3215,"date":"2012-09-22T17:37:21","date_gmt":"2012-09-22T17:37:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/?p=3215"},"modified":"2013-03-22T16:58:50","modified_gmt":"2013-03-22T16:58:50","slug":"how-my-world-has-been-turned-upside-down-by-a-infant-dolphin","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cooksdelight.co.uk\/blog\/2012\/09\/how-my-world-has-been-turned-upside-down-by-a-infant-dolphin\/","title":{"rendered":"How my world has been turned upside down        by a baby Dolphin"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Somehow, we got split up<br \/>\nand now I am alone<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve never felt like this before<br \/>\nIts not something, that I&#8217;ve known<br \/>\nthe water here is brackish<br \/>\nI do not like it here<br \/>\nit seems I am enclosed by nets<br \/>\nMy head is full of fear<\/p>\n<p>Where have my parents gone to<br \/>\nits most unusual, they<br \/>\nalways stay close by me<br \/>\nand I don&#8217;t know what to say<br \/>\nThe sea is cold, and I feel cold<br \/>\nall sorts of thoughts now rush<br \/>\nthrough my brain and cause me strain<br \/>\nand from my eyes I gush<\/p>\n<p>I am so very frightened<br \/>\nI don&#8217;t know what to do<br \/>\nshall I surface<br \/>\nor stay where I am<br \/>\ncould be my life, is through<br \/>\nbut I&#8217;m so young, a baby only<br \/>\nwhat did I do wrong?<br \/>\nI loved to leap into the blue<br \/>\nfor thats where I belong<\/p>\n<p>free, as a Barracuda<br \/>\nthat burst into each wave<br \/>\nsomersaults and pirouettes<br \/>\nit really was a rave<br \/>\nplay, it is so joyful<br \/>\nand inspiration for<br \/>\nDolphins we are active<br \/>\nwe are sprightly, we are sure<br \/>\nFreedom is our password<br \/>\nWildness our delight<br \/>\nrestricting us is awful<br \/>\nimagining our plight<\/p>\n<p>stuck here in some smelly tank<br \/>\nor netted in some space<br \/>\nwhere we get caught up in the mesh<br \/>\nits such a dire disgrace<br \/>\ndiscomfort and much anguish<br \/>\nand  this adversity<br \/>\nwhere are my precious parents?<br \/>\noh! where now can they be<\/p>\n<p>I surface for a moment<br \/>\nthe boats are everywhere<br \/>\nthe sea is red with blood<br \/>\noh! dear<br \/>\nI really cannot bear<br \/>\nto imagine what is happening<br \/>\nand then I see mama<br \/>\nshe&#8217;s on her side and bleeding<br \/>\nher eyes are dull, and papa<\/p>\n<p>is hanging from a boat hook<br \/>\nalso bleeding, dearie me<br \/>\npapa looks as if he&#8217;s dead<br \/>\nand mama, too actually<br \/>\nwhat now can I really do<br \/>\ncan I get away<br \/>\nand even if I do escape<br \/>\nthere&#8217;s no where I can play<br \/>\nNo, that great blue ocean<br \/>\ntakes no prisoners,out and I<br \/>\nwithout my parents helping me<br \/>\nof course I&#8217;m going to die<\/p>\n<p>and then of course it happens<br \/>\nI&#8217;m plucked out from the sea<br \/>\nand roughly thrown down on the boat<br \/>\noh!
