\nFormed a grove of deciduous friends

Expression of the lot of us

\nIncorporating dwarf and tall

Each one an individual
\nA drawing in the light
\nA sculpture whose contrariety
\nIs an odd man out alright<\/p>\n
Still accepted by this tribe of ours
\nFulfilling all the laws
\nWithin our many branches
\nThe woodsman comes and scores<\/p>\n
Time for us is everyting
\nRemaining in one place
\nWe learn a great deal about ourselves

Lichens come to decorate
\nRevealing in us they
\nAre fragile yes it can be said

The endless stare of seasons past

Being great light bearers

Driving down our precious roots
\nTo draw on energy
\nWaiting in the micrarizzal caverns

The logger with his mechanized
\nDinosaur that lugs
\nAcross the forest tearing down the saplings
\nAs if bugs<\/p>\n
A nightmare in the making
\nA sap lust everywhere
\nThe leaves fall in a screaming mass
\nPalm oil breeds despair<\/p>\n
Magnates in their boardrooms
\nRubbing their hands with glee
\nLiving in their mansions somewhere
\nNear the sea<\/p>\n
With servants at their beck and call
\nAnd money everywhere
\nWhen they look into their mirror
\nAll they see is despair<\/p>\n
Garden centres selling hardwood
\nDecking for to use
\nGreat light bearers torn down
\nReally they abuse<\/p>\n
The animals the forest the oxygen
\nThe sky
\nBut the magnates drive gas guzzlers
\nAnd some of them fly<\/p>\n
Again off to Malaysia
\nTo steal more wood to buy
\nThis circle of arrogance
