The attic offers comfort
\nTo mouse mummy for she knows
\nShe is heavily pregnant
\nAnd daily now she grows<\/p>\n
She has urgently to build a nest
\nWarm and safe for she
\nWill have her babies very soon
\nAnd needs must actually<\/p>\n
She wanders around the clutter
\nAnd finds an old mattress
\nWhere
\nSome bed bugs have taken refuge
\nBut thinks that she can share<\/p>\n
the other end where it is holed
\nAnd large enough
\nAnd so she must
\nFind some nest material
\nAnd get out of the dust<\/p>\n
She finds a big old jumper
\nBeing eaten up there she
\nNotices the moth grubs
\nAnd has a few for tea<\/p>\n
She uses some of the woollen bits
\nAnd takes them to ber plAce
\nEats a few more moth grubs
\nAnd back to her nest does race<\/p>\n
Back inside the mattress
\nShe makes her nest for she
\nIs desperate now to
\nSettle and give birth
\nAnd easily <\/p>\n
Sits there in her boudoir
\nAnd before you can say cat
\n15 pink blind mickey mice
\nHave joined where she is at<\/p>\n
Tiny little babies
\nRolling here and there
\nShe must give them lots of milk
\nWhich all of them will share<\/p>\n
The maternal instinct
\nComing through today
\nUp fhere in seclusion
