In essence around us
\nAre magickal things
\nEssentially purposeful
\nAnd what that brings
\nReal perpetuity
\nEssentially so
\nFrom all thats around us
\nThat most people know<\/p>\n
The trees of the forest
\nThe fruit on the trees
\nThe stones and the crystals
\nLying where they please
\nIn the wood litter
\nPerhaps in the stream
\nHaving the substance
\nAnd holding the dream<\/p>\n
The herbs and the wild plants
\nWe foraged when young
\nWith all of that energy
\nPerhaps the unsung
\nUnused at this moment
\nBut used long ago
\nThe hearts blood of ancestors
\nThat still does grow<\/p>\n
The carpets of moss
\nThe lichens of old
\nFungi that hide
\nBe it snow white or gold
\nThe freshness of morning
\nThe kiss of the dew
\nLove has a way
\nAbout seeking the new<\/p>\n
Each clump glade or shrubbery
\nTendril or stalk
\nPod, cone or acorn
\nJust a short walk
\nFrom a tumbledown garden
\nTo the common green where
\nIt be a pleasure
\nOf spotting a hare<\/p>\n
The softness of silence
\nA nosegay of rose
\nThe petals so perfumed they
\nPlay with the nose
\nThe hoot of the tawny
\nMusic to my ear
\nThe bel canto spirit
\nThats windrously clear<\/p>\n
The enchantments around us
\nSuch workings are too
\nEach potion each candle a light
\nTo burn through
\nA certain alchemy
\nThat Will be there
\nIn the wildness and wisdom
\nThat hangs in the air<\/p>\n
We have amethyst violet and amaranth too
\nMagenta and plum a vision and view
\nEyes closed we can visualise
\nAnd bask in the light
\nFrom the power of ideas
\nAnd our natural sight
\nLets bring into harmony all that we do
\nAnd respond to the wishes
