One purple foxglove
\nStands proud in the strong wind,
\nThat grabs me today
\nInside the barrow
\nI sat with my thoughts
\nAnd the sounds of the sea
\nNot that far away<\/p>\n
Down the steep cliffs
\nTo the perpetual motion
\nThe blue of the ocean
\nSuch devotion was mine
\nHere in the barrow
\nSo small and so narrow
\nI thought back through history
\nAnd could opine<\/p>\n
For deep down in me
\nIngrained in my being
\nPart and parcel of thought
\nMy indigenous soul
\nInstinctively uttered
\nA primordial offering
\nUp to then unprecedented
\nAs is its role<\/p>\n
Outside just one foxglove
\nThe truest of sentinels
\nStands at the edge
\nWhere the granite path ends
\nAnd just as an invisible water fall crashes
\nDown to oblivion
