You must pick natural corridors
\nNear water preferably
\nWhere there’s dense vegetation
\nAnd trails out all can see<\/p>\n
You need to scout for tracks and scats
\nAnd marking on the trees
\nAnd when you have a place you feel
\nThen you have to please<\/p>\n
The bears you have to leave
\nOne of your shirts around so they
\nCan get your scent just hang it on a bush
\nAnd Every day<\/p>\n
A camo shirt you use outside
\nKeep it in a plastic bag
\nAnd hang it somewhere near the bait
\nIt acts just like a flag<\/p>\n
And Will get the bear a thinking
\nBut you will be elsewhere
\nNow for your bait barrel
\nBeaver tails you can swear<\/p>\n
By them it is the castors
\nThat get the bear on side
\nThe perineal gland he loves
\nThey smell it far and wide<\/p>\n
A bucket of old grease
\nSome wheat some oats
\nTo get him going
\nAnd then you find a place to wait
\nDown wind or he will be knowing<\/p>\n
A couple of head nets
\nBug clothing odourless control
\nAnd duct your sleeves and pant bottoms
\nyou are then ready to roll<\/p>\n
So they nabbed a bear that evening
\nAnd they cut it up right away
\nCovered in blood and hair and snot
\nThey made their victim pay<\/p>\n
Him and his mates then celebrate
\nJack Daniels and some more
\nAnd rolled home stinking like the drunks they were
\nOutside his door<\/p>\n
He doesnt even clean himself
\nhe just rolls into bed
\nThe stench of death is everywhere
\nAnd he’s out of his head<\/p>\n
Of course his wife is beside herself
\nShe knows what he has done
\nAnd chucks him out
\nSleep in the van

It must have been about an hour

More scratching and heavy breathing
\nThey didnt know what to do
\nJust stay put and they dozed

In the morning when they opened the doors
\nOf the great big 4by 4
\nIt Was really scratched to kingdom come
\nAnd a part of a claw<\/p>\n
Was embedded in the offside wheel
\nIt was no dream therefore
\nThe spirit of the bear they killed
\nHad come back and what is more<\/p>\n
Had left its mark around the house
\nLeft its scat as well
\nWith deep scratches on the garage doors
\nAnd worse so I hear tell<\/p>\n
And that happened for many weeks
\nEvery single night
\nSomething came and they felt its presence
\nIn the dead of night<\/p>\n
Safe to say the women all left
\nAnd went away
\nAnd left the men to sort it
\nAnd clearly they did pay<\/p>\n
No one ever caught a bear
\nOr saw a bear again
\nOnly the three men suffered
