A sea bird a wide open ocean
\nThe horizon apparently far
\nI have wings and I do have the notion
\nTo leap and to fly and to star<\/p>\n
In my very own dramatic picture
\nA phantom a spectre a ghost
\nA figment of imagination
\nA solitary soul who can boast<\/p>\n
A place in the great scheme of genuine things
\nOutward looking and seeing so much
\nHaving eyes now to focus on the tiniest soul
\nAnd the energy really to touch<\/p>\n
As brains go mine is a prototype brain
\nPrimordial in many ways
\nInventive I could say inventive
\nThat might be worthy of praise<\/p>\n
Able to take affirmative action
\nAdjust and decide what to do
\nTo point my heard towards the horizon and fly
\nTo be honest a fact and be true<\/p>\n
To myself, it kicked in ,it seemed farther
\nThan i had imagined it to be
\nThe more that I flew it felt kind of true
\nThe distance was as far its true<\/p>\n
And how could that be for each moment
\nClearly I was travelling and I
\nLooked back at the beach I had walked upon
\nAnd could hardly see it, so why?<\/p>\n
Had the horizon not come any closer
\nHad I misjudged the distance as well
\nLower down had it changed the perspective
\nI was feeling unsure I could tell<\/p>\n
The sky was a great heavy canvas
\nThe sea was an envious mass
\nIt was good that I still was a seagull
\nFor what if I had been an Ass<\/p>\n
Handicapped by having 4 legs
\nAnd a great swishing tail at my back
\nNot particularly good in the ocean
\nFor swimming far needed a knack<\/p>\n
But I was above the great ocean
\nFlapping my wings trying to
\nReach the horizon of gold green
\nand yellow
