Colonies of pika run
\nThe gauntlet in the frosty sun
\nCoyote hawk and weasel might
\nLike a take away at night<\/p>\n
But pika know a thing or two
\nThey are very able and all day through
\nAre on the lookout for bandits who
\nMight threaten them and what they do<\/p>\n
They are very round and have no tail
\nTheir voice is a bleat like a lamb their trail
\nIs over and through the mountain rocks
\nSo nimble and able to take the knocks<\/p>\n
With temperatures rising these little souls
\nAre feeling the pressure in their holes
\nThey of course live the winter through
\nThey dont hibernate all that they do<\/p>\n
Is sleep and eat and dream all day
\nThat it stays cold for there is no way
\nThey can take the heat so each day they climb
\nHigher and higher running out of time<\/p>\n
Almost at the top of the mountains they
\nIf it gets any hotter up there they may
\nLeap into space the old lemmings trait
\nFor with temperatures rising they now cannot wait<\/p>\n
Their Extinction apparently is likely to be
\nTheir only way out so a real tragedy
\nGAIA will come to their aid I am sure
\nThe tragedy being that man will ignore
\nOne little furry beast up in the sky
\nAnd when it comes to his turn he will deny<\/p>\n
