Their expectation
\nwas a future together
\nInstead we see consequence
\nwhich has descended
\nNot from good judgement
\nfor no one’s defended
\nTHe incalculable loss
\nAs habitats ended<\/p>\n
Rainforests brimming
\nwith life just torn down
\nGreat reference libraries
\nall seen to drown
\nIn waves of emotion
\nand huge banks of fire
\nLeaving deserts of souls
\nwith lives that are dire<\/p>\n
Arborial apes
\ndesigned for the trees
\nShaken and thrown
\nTo the ground does it please
\nThe shoppers in New York
\nor London or Rome
\nTo use and abuse places
\nwhere creatures roam<\/p>\n
Slash and burn
\ngreat metal dinosaurs came
\nPulled up and knocked flat
\nthe arborial flame
\nTigers and pangolins
\ntapirs and all
\nWere trampled to death
\nAnd as some did fall<\/p>\n
Were pushed into the fires
\nto burn all the day
\nWhilst others the victims
\nwere hung out to pay<\/p>\n
In Borneo tears fall
\nlike rainforest rain
\nThose feeling the plight

The only gods that we see
\nin this world
\nAre the corporates magnates
\nwhose wealth has unfurled<\/p>\n
I cry for my sisters
\nfor what had they done
\nThey lived in the canopy
\nunder the sun
\nThey never hurt anyone

\nAs their ancestors had

The new world order
\nthe lottery where
\nDeath and destruction
\nwe all seem to share
\nThe hope of this planet
\nApparently seems
\nTo be lost in the world
\nof commercial dreams<\/p>\n
Of fat cats and banksters
\nwho so only know
\nAbout ponzi schemes
\nand the way to grow
\nAssetts and profits
\nand stealth by design
\nWe are all victims

Chains around our ankles
\na rock breaking task
\nAnd if we cant do that

\nUs to go to the camps
