Since time immemorial by thrusting design
\nThe sea bed rose skywards its pleasure to dine
\nSuch a momentum of seasonal rain matched by the spirit
\nWith so much to gain
\nLime sent a’sunder in massive tall casts
\nSheer do you hear incredible blasts<\/p>\n
That rose upwards clearing the ocean to sky
\nAnd within this ediface great caves fight shy
\nWherein tiny swiftlets are known to fly
\nAnd build their nests in what is dark and dry
\nAnd its all just from spittle a rich gurgling gob
\nThat dries and produces a recoil to sob
\nAnd humans some of them curiously
\nGo out of their way to collect them to be<\/p>\n
Transformed into soup these birds nests they are
\nFlavoured with chicken and conflour a star
\nPerformer we hear in parts of the east
\nWhere diners eat well any part of a beast
\nAnd these saliva parcels and probably poo
\nAre stolen and made into this special brew<\/p>\n
As to detachment from all that can be
\nNatural and organic it does seem to me
\nTo eat the birds homes sentimentality
\nMade up in fact of so much energy
\nStolen from nature for so called desire
\nAnd indigenous people risk their lives
\nClimbing higher
\nOn very poor ropes up into the sky
\nOne slip and for a few birds nests people die<\/p>\n
It goes back to quackery and libido
\nSupposed immune problems for a skin that cann glow
\nA remarkable difference when eating this stuff
\nAnd some chinese diners cannot get enough
\nWhatever the reason they are creating each roost
\nThese nest buidlig swiftlets are getting a boost
\nIn the tops of some houses nest making space
\nIs offered for swiftlets their cradles to grace<\/p>\n
But with no squatters rights
\nOne season then they
\nGet their marching orders
\nAnd must away
\nThen offered another space
\nWhere its clean and dry
