Being blind has never stopped us seeing
\nFor though my eyes see darkness
\nIn my mind is so much light
\nIt floods into my consciousness
\nAnd my imagination
\nHonestly it now is at its height<\/p>\n
Beside the river I can hear the splashing
\nThe joyful gait that clearly it creates
\nThe vigour snd the forcefulness
\nThe exuberance
\nthe episodic rambling sweet states<\/p>\n
Harmony i feel it all around me
\nSitting cross legged on the Grassy bank
\nI can smell the blossoms
\nI can hear the Bee’s
\nCan almost taste the honey
\nAs if its dripping from the trees<\/p>\n
The wind prepares a symphony
\nThe leaves and grasses too
\nExpress their floral rhythm
\nAnd their utterness to do
\nBird song drifts melodically
\nFor no other reason
\nThan to share
\nthe beauty
\nOf the feathered songful season
\nThats out there<\/p>\n
Each utterance spellbinding
\nTo raise my mindseye to
\nThe gloriousness of being
\nOn the river bank with you
\nMy friend my dear friend Josie
\nWho reads aloud sometimes
\nShe is blind too but she reads in braille
\nThats When Our spirit climbs<\/p>\n
Up into the sky to where
\nWe know the clouds do roll
\nThe stanzas and the verses
\nAnd the odd dirge from the soul
\nA medley of emotions
\nIs ours to pick and choose
\nWe both imagine colours
\nSeduced by other news<\/p>\n
We hear we smell we listen
\nAnd our senses seem to be
\nGiving us clear messages
\nOf what is possibly
\nReality around us
\nA dreamstate we create
\nBased on our imagination
\nIs how we replicate<\/p>\n
Then touching to feel the qualities
\nSoftness wetness we
\nImagine without seeing
\nA forcefield for the free
\nA fish perhaps leaps skywards
\nObserving us may be
\nShe has eyes too
\nAnd perhaps a few
\nSee and want excitedly<\/p>\n
To Break through the true surface
\nTo the light source where
\nLeaping into the human world
\nMomentarily to share
\nThe two of us who hear her
\nHer rapturous desire
\nBut she is gone before we know it
\nHer tiny heart on fire<\/p>\n
We feel that the wind is picking up
\nBlowing leaves about
\nWe ought to go home Anyway
\nWe Are in no doubt
\nWe are each others light source
\nHand in hand we know
\nThe way back to the cottage
\nAnd the path that we follow<\/p>\n
The need is to be tactile
\nOur expression of care
\nDespite the roots that cut across the path
\nWe are aware
\nWe each make it our plan of action
\nTo help each other out
\nAnd what some may see as difficult
\nIts not what we are about<\/p>\n
The beauty of each moment
\nWe relish and we feel
\nEvery single sense beyond
\nEach step we take with zeal
\nWe have to remain positive
\nIn everything we do
