Often children lag behind
\nWe see it everywhere
\nAnd eli chops was no exception
\nHis poor mum did despair
\nWhenever she was with him
\nWherever they would go
\nHer inquisitive little soldier boy
\nWas So much in the flow<\/p>\n
Of life, was always looking
\nAt the insects at his feet
\nThe birds who came to play with him
\nBut then he was my treat
\nI had always wanted
\nTo have a baby boy
\nAnd at my age it was such a lift
\nAnd He gave me so much joy<\/p>\n
The philosophy of existence
\nWas my very fact of life
\nThe bedrock of believing
\nDespite the extra strife
\nOne evening after feeding
\nOn bananas in the rough
\nI crossed onto the railways lines
\nFeeling i had had enough
\nWe had to find some shelter
\nAnd eli chops his way
\nWas walking in a zig zag
\nWhen sadly i did pay<\/p>\n
For not keeping my eyes open
\nFor suddenly the train
\nWas on me in one moment
\nI experienced the pain
\nI knew that life was leaving me
\nAnd where was eli chops
\nStill back in the bush he was
\nPulling out the stops<\/p>\n
Playing with a lizard
\nFinally he found
\nMe dying on the raiway track
\nLying on the ground
\nBeaten up and broken
\nClearly lost for sure
\nWhat would my little soldier boy do
\nRapidly he tore <\/p>\n
into me
\nExclaiming his love
\nHe clearly knew
\nThat I was passing faster
\nAnd not knowing what to do
\nHe sat beside me waiting
\nI saw his doleful eyes
\nWhat would now become of him
\nHe was of little size<\/p>\n
Luckily for eli chops
\nHe was found right away
\nThe train had sent a message
\nHow I was in their way
\nSo rapidly some people came
\nFrom a sanctuary
\nClose by to the railway
\nAnd lead him there to see<\/p>\n
I understand there were other victims
\nIn this place and he
\nLived a life of riley
\nFor they loved him actually
\nA life saved meant so much to him
\nAnd of course to me
\nI was sent to the rainbow bridge
\nBut got wind of how he be<\/p>\n
He was loved by all of them
\nMy little soldier boy
\nWho gave his helpers pleasure
\nAnd hours and hours of joy
\nHe wouldnt have to face phajan
\nSo for him that would be good
\nNo torture from some wild mahout
\nEven if they could<\/p>\n
My soldier boy would not allow
\nAnyone to ride
\nI am sure i will hear news of him
\nEven from the other side<\/p>\n
