\nThey are all around us
\nLike us they too are hurled
\nInto the revolution
\nThat facebook\/twitter life
\nWhere some have i pads lap tops i phones
\nAnd some have only strife<\/p>\n
Our cast offs when we have had enough
\nOr the corporates feel our need
\nGo out a buy the latest gadget
\nOnly then will you succeed
\nIn rubbish tips around our world
\nGreat heaps of digital grief
\nOf plastics bags and bottles
\nIt all beyond belief<\/p>\n
Landfills change our countryside
\nInto pits of hell
\nAnd this will all be smouldering there
\nFor thousands of years
\nKnow well
\nThe creatures of the earth
\nFor some of the stuff thats there
\nIs full of toxic metals
\nAnd on going despair<\/p>\n
And in this violent melee
\nThese mountains that attract
\nVermin and our children too
\nFor them that is a fact
\nThey are recycling everything
\nThats possible to sell
\nUnaware of the toxins
\nAlso Under the corporate spell<\/p>\n
And cherry blossoms line the streets
\nIn Fukushima town
\nAvenues of aromatic blossoms
\nA great gown
\nof beauty
\nIn a city destroyed by nuclear power
\nThe great clock in the sky is clicking
\nHands moving on the hour<\/p>\n
And now there are no children there
\nThey were taken aWay
\nTo quietly accept their thyroid cancer
\nThat will get them come what may
\nThe other kids in Africa and India
\nAnd elsewhere
\nsearching through the rubbish tips
\nThe toxic loads to share<\/p>\n
These are the children these are to be
\nThe next generation
\nSleeping in the streets already
\na great wall of inflation
\nOf prejudice of animal rights
\nOf women rights and more
\nOf wifi radiation
\nAnd the corporate rule of law<\/p>\n
I do not envy humanity
\nFor what it has become
\nI just feel for the children
\nWhose parents have been made dumb
\nBy the GM foods and glyphosate
\nThat is already killing bees
\nI do feel for the children
\nWho will have no guarantee’s
\nOf anything thats different
\nThe robots and the poor
\nAnd all played out in plain sight
