A blackbird just came to a tree
\nAnd there she sits in front of me
\nUNaware that I am here
\nIn my study and very near
\nIts drab a sky of total grey
\nAnd not a lot of wind today
\nBut a smattering of leaves still hang
\nOn my Beech the songs we sang
\nThe melodies of yester year
\nOn fanlike branches do appear
\nAs some ivy climbs towards the sky
\nAs green as it can be on high
