What sort of man or women
\ncan take an unwanted stray
\nforce it on a fishing hook
\nand hope that they can play
\na shark, upon their fishing line
\nand bring it in and take its fins
\nthis is the sinful thing some do
\nclearly their thick skins
\npreclude them from emotion
\ntheir thoughtlessness, for they
\nare carrying out such nasty crimes
\nand the animal earthlings pay
\nToday I signed a petition
\nfor those people, who do
\nthis kind of thing
\nwhat they should get
\nis similar treatment too
\nImagine that poor canine
\nleaking blood into
\nthe ocean, that salt smarting
\nas its legs are running through
\nthe motions, to swim frantically
\nthen finding out its bait
\nand a shark will crush its body
\nthen the hook, will spell, its, fate
\npulled aboard gaffed in the side
\nand its fins hacked off, oh! dear
\nthe poor thing thrown back in the sea
\nto be eaten too, its clear
\nthese criminals are proving
\nwe are now in evil times
\nand when caught the penalty must be
