The arctic fox looks timid
\nBut this mother she is bold
\nLooking out for her little cubs
\nOn wild birds she is sold
\nKittiwakes that nest upon the high crags
\nWild and free
\nbut getting to them
\nIsnt easy its a long way to the sea<\/p>\n
One slip and its over hundreds of feet below
\nShe will be battered senseless
\nBy the rocks now down below
\nBut running this way that way
\nIts not an easy trip
\nThe arctic fox has got to be
\nCareful not to slip<\/p>\n
Eventually she grasps a kittiwake
\nAnd brings it back
\nObviously with the four cubs
\nShe will have to backtrack
\nSo everytime she ventures on the mountain side
\nShe knows
\nOne slip and she’s had it
\nFor clearly down she goes<\/p>\n
The people like the wild tastes
\nAnd forage from on high
\nGUillemot or kittiwake
\nAre Up there in the sky
\nThey climb down on a held rope
\nAbsailing let us say
\nPicking up the eggs
\nAnd catching a bird yes on the way<\/p>\n
Another icelandic treasure
\nIs laver bread and they
\nMix it up with flour
\nAnd cook it so they say
\nActually in a bucket
\nFor each has a hot spring
\nGeo thermal combustion
\nIt has that special ring<\/p>\n
About it if you think about it
\nLeft 24 hours
\nAnd all of that earth energy
\nWith its distinctive powers
\nCooks the laver through snd through
\nIdeal for winters bite
\nFOraging in Iceland
