What are the priorities
\nAt the IWC
\nThe ocean that abounds with life
\nAre apparently
\nUnder risk of acidification
\nOf pollution out of control
\nAnd of the killing fields
\nProving yields
\nTo those now lacking soul<\/p>\n
I say this really from my heart
\nFor events are taking out
\nHuge amounts of wildlife
\nThats what its all about
\nCommercial whaling
\nAnd Science,and profits all the way
\nTradition culture and such contempt
\nAnd making many pay<\/p>\n
A price that is just too expensive
\nIt seems the want of man
\nTo destroy all life within the seas
\nAs quickly as he can
\nPresumption of a need
\nNot historicity
\nA vacuum for the truer thought
\nAnd just no amnesty<\/p>\n
For the great whales and all
\nCetaceans
\nAll do have their place
\nAnd were not created simply
\nFor the japanese to chase
\nTo send explosive harpoons into
\nOr create a banging sphere
\nAnd drive them struggling into port
\nTo be slaughtered in such fear<\/p>\n
Apparently there is an absence
\nOf good sense in the minds
\nOf those countries intending
\nTo just pull down the blinds
\nTo just go on at killing
\nAnd consuming day and night
\nOr encouraging people to aquaria
\nTheir punters to delight<\/p>\n
This is arrogant persuasion
\nBased on an attitude
\nThats altogther out of touch
\nWith how its really viewed
\nWith their potentiality
\nTheir lifes blood and their soul
\nThe endowment that they offer
\nAnd what is their special role<\/p>\n
This miracle we look upon
\nWas not created for
\nTorture or for killing
\nOf dispaying in the raw
\nThey are, advanced beings
\nIn their ocean of despair
\nImagine what we have made it
\nFor it is us to be aware<\/p>\n
JApan has ZEN its sanctuary
\nA system of belief

Abstinence is holy
\nAtonement is the need
\nWe all must now indeminify
\nThose who would succeed

\nSo as to increase the guard<\/p>\n
To contine with excuses
\nBe traitors to the cause
\nHave no remorse for the innocent

There is a state of wickedness
\nOf amorality
\nThese great whales bodies seemingly

\nWhich are spewing from our bowels
\nYet many are indifferent
\nAnd fail to hear the howls<\/p>\n
Of those who cast protection
\nReally out of care
\nNot only for the victims
\nBut those who want to share
\nThe steaks and cutlets they become
\nTradition tells them so
\nBut the unreliablilty
\nAnd venality does grow<\/p>\n
Toxic waste they basically
\nHave become their tissues cost
\nBut loss of face is an asian trait
\nWhere the westerners have lost
\nThey talk so much of murder
\nWhen they have the abattoir

Rascality is shared therefore

But there is a strange anomaly

\nWhich goes about its business
\nHelping Japan to say
\nTAIJI King of drive hunting
\nAnd Of the dolphins that abound
\nOf aquaria production
\nAnd the slaughtering thats found<\/p>\n
Its way into perception
\nNow throughout the world
\nThe drive hunts and the banging boats
\nThe live threads that have hurled

The weakness of the IWC
\nAns why they do allow
\nCorruption to be evident
\nAnd clearly it is now
\nAnd has been there for thirty tears
\nOr more and we can see
\nThough whale deaths have been brought down
\nSome would say substantially<\/p>\n
We really need to get Japan
\nTo realise they err
\nTheir loss of face is at a pace
\nSo they will not concur
\nFor them the way they are judged
\nBy some
\nDoes get up their nose
\nWhen they know we are also not angels
\nIt does come as a blow<\/p>\n
Everyones killing animals
\nA vegan,nlike me
\nWe are really up against it
\nIn the minority
\nBut at least we do get the respect
\nOf being what we say
\nWe want them to take on board
\nAnd try to save the day<\/p>\n
The sophistry is evident
\nTwo faced people do
\nPoint their fingers all the time
\nIts what people do
\nFight for whales whilst eating ham
\nOr chicken night and day
\nSomehow they get around this
\nIn their very selfish way<\/p>\n
What is right and what is wrong
\nWho are we to say
\nBut the killing of the ocean
\nMaking the ocean pay
\nAnd all of the wild creatures
\nWho currently reside
\nIn what is a human battlefield
\nWhere trillions now have died<\/p>\n
With slaughtering on a terrible scale
\nWhich is happening every day
\nThe drift net fishing the poaching
\nThe factory ships that pay
\nNo regard to nation states no regard at all
\nShark finning nobody winning
\nAnd nobody hears the call<\/p>\n
YEs we have Sea Shepherd
\nAn enterprise thats tries
\nThat put its muscle where its mouth is
\nAnd takes on the whaling guys
\nThe wailing cries of cetaceans
\nAs the harpoons bite and thrust
\nAs the gaffs of countless poachers
\nCreate their own disgust<\/p>\n
The effluent the sewerage the oil slicks
\nAnd the rest
\nFUKUShima And CHENOBYL who reall tried their best
\nTo soak the salination in radio active gore
\nTnat is killing despite statistics
\nAnd the lying now galore
\nMan is his own worse enemy
\nAnd thesevmiracles we see
\nThe great whales some are watching
\nA pastime of the free<\/p>\n
Spirited, and debatable people who now dare
\nTo use and not abuse the whales
\nSo more of us can share
\nTheir wonder and their beauty
\nTo just be more aware
\nThe slaughter of live animals
\nWas never meant to be
\nNever in a millikn years
\nThats if you ask me<\/p>\n
Flesh and blood and fat and gore
\nShould be minimised today
\nEveryone should now take heed
\nAnd reduce the flesh I say
\nThe world would see aggression drop
\nAnd cancer rates would be
\nSustainable and workable
\nAnd we all would feel more free<\/p>\n
a final point I am making
\nThat if the IWC
\nNations should come together
\nAnd protect the sea
\nAnd allow SEA SHEPHERD access
\nAllow them to do their stuff
\nStrengthen them with commitment
\nFor we all have seen enough<\/p>\n
Stop this vile corruption
\nTELL JAPAN you cannot buy
\nVotes because you have the cash
\nIts wrong and those who lie
\nAnd quietly take your money
\nAt your behest and say
\nThey agree with whaling
\nONLY because you pay<\/p>\n
What does that do for their sanity
\nAnd their self respect
\nIt leads to more corruption
\nWhen their people do elect
\nThem they want a ban on whaling
\nBut of course lose the vote
\nBecause officials are paid off
\nSomething all must note<\/p>\n
They are not your fairy godmother
\nThey are evil through and through
\nAnd just by paying you money
\nYou agree to be that too
\nThey are the anathema
\nNo benefactor would
\nThrow money at a dying WHALE
