What is absoluteness within the great oceans
\nThe givenness offers perpetuity
\nThe great whales the dolphins the pilots
\nThe greys
\nSo many species we enter a phase
\nOf continued slaughter
\nAnd science we hear
\nIs often the reason
\nThough that isnt clear<\/p>\n
The nations still active in whaling
\nAscribe
\nTheir reasons are natural
\nAnd so to imbibe
\nThe spirit of slaughter
\nThey pick up the tab
\nAnd ignore the worlds edicts
\nAs just so much flab<\/p>\n
Enter one captain
\nWith his heart on his sleeve
\nWith a great will of iron
\nHe is not make believe
\nHe is real and is out there
\nTo police the seas
\nTo take on the poachers
\nHowever much sleeze<\/p>\n
They make up against him
\nHe and his crew
\nAre proud to be pirates
\nBut what they now do
\nIs take on the evil
\nThat clearly is there
\nAnd just run the gauntlet
\nDespite the despair<\/p>\n
Rooted in sailing
\nAnd realization
\nIts no exaggeration
\nJust true salvation
\nA stong constitution
\nAnd a backbone thats tough
\nHis ethos is caring

With spirit and humour
\nA vegan endowed
\nWith a lot of experience
\nAnd has been showered
\nWith radical feelings
\nAnd intellect too
\nWith an ethos and upbringing
\nThats good and true<\/p>\n
He knows what he is doing
\nAnd gains such respect
\nThe authorities view him
\nAnd may interject
\nBut often they watch him
\nAnd allow him to be
\nWhat he does best at

Most wrongdoers know them
\nThey know who they are
\nThey do what they have to
\nNo where is too far
\nThe LAbrador ice sheet
\nMArch is the time
\nWhen the Harp Seals are nursing
\nAttracting the grime
\nOf humanity really
\nThe seal hunting mob
\nWith icebreakers costing
\nMore than a few bob
\nMounties on overtime
\nWhats it all for
\nTo bludgeon to death

And Sea Shepherd goes out there
\nTo hopefully try
\nAnd dissauade the murderers
\nWhich is now why
\nBefore they go in there the eco brigade
\nThe unemployed rich who know Seals are laid
\nOut and dragged off of the ice for their skin
\nSo that hags everywhere
\nCan commit fashion sin<\/p>\n
And millions it seems
\nAre taken to bolster
\nThe local cash streams
\nKeep your gun in your holster
\nIt doesnt make sense the cost is immense
\nBut they carry on doing it
\nThough there’s little sense<\/p>\n
When you have vast experience
\nOut in the sea
\nYou are seen by some to be a visionary
\nLoving what you do there’s an absolute need
\nYo be good at your job
\nAnd to always succeed<\/p>\n
To think out of the box
\nSome lateral stuff
\nIt beats GPS
\nWhen the going gets tough
\nAnd Paul Watson has battles under his belt
\nAnd seemingly good hands he’s always been dealt<\/p>\n
And so respected by those
\nOf his crew
\nThey go with his nerve
\nAnd his strategy too
\nHe has a clear mind
\nAnd is quick to create
\nA very good leader

\nHe falls back on good judgement

\nAnd that quickly shows

\nUp against real rogues

They do look for trouble
\nBut readily find
\nTrouble soon finds them
\nIn front and behind
\nRamming is illegal
\nAs Paul WAtson found

OVer to NEAY Bay the ATLANTIC grey whale
\nThe IWC banned hunting the rail
\nCame off the endangered list in 94
\nWhen the local indigenous wanted some more
\nAction a mind for a criminal scene
\nCommercial whaling which hadnt been
\nAnd so we went up there
\nTo give them some bluff
\nTo play orca sounds
\nTheir chances to scuff<\/p>\n
Well it worked no whales were killed not at all
\nAnd the next year just one so the numbers dud fall
\nNot classed as commercial it died on its feet
\nAll down to Sea Shepherd who turned up the heat
\nThe North Pacific Ocean and drift nets where they
\nHang floats 10 metres deep and drag on forever they say
\n40 to 175 miles of net the Japanese and Taiwanese
\nWill if they are let
\nFish out these areas kill every soul
\nAt least half is bycatch so we must control
\nThese are true criminals sick to the core
\nAll manner of reasons that most folk ignore<\/p>\n
Curtains of death they are everywhere
\nCleansing the oceans and causing despair
\nIts outright murder and tragic to see
\nAnd Sea Shepherd takes on these boats
\nObviously
\nRetrieving the nets and driving them away
\nRamming their power blocks
\nMaking them pay
\nThe skull and crossbones is proudly displayed
\nIn so many ways it is their stock in trade<\/p>\n
All sorts of barneys with all sorts of countries
\nNOrway another a nation of whalers
\nThey have had runins with the naval sailors
\nThis is a serious business and they
\nHave to be up for it everyday
\nThe Faroes those islands where fairies once were
\nIn the mist and enchantment but really they err
\nIts so called tradition but thats not the game
\nThey are throwbacks to evil minus the shame
\nThey have no discretion their ethics are shot
\nKilling the mother and babies they are not<\/p>\n
Human my thinking lost in the gore
\nThey think they sre denizens of some great war
\nOn the edge of a madness and venality
\nThe unprincipled conscienceless
\ndisloyalty
\nThey show to each other by slashing the spines
\nMurdering whole pods we know the signs
\nThey have no morality not any more
\nThose bloody killers who mock from the shore
\nSea shepherd has been there with cameras in tow
\nCapture the action till they’re forced to go
\nA warship from Denmark and what do we do
\nRoll out some barbed for the boarding crew
\nColoured smoke canisters for an effect
\nHump back whale sounds someone might detect
\nThey poison their children such arrogance rules
\nThey are a bunch of inglorious fools
\nAll parts of the world gets the Sea Shepherd call
\nThe Galapagos the Cocos the sanctuary haul
