Science creates problems
\nBut the problem is that we
\nImagine science is a god
\nHow ever bad it be
\nIt has potentiality
\nBut it also can transcend
\nAnd recreate more problems
\nThat some may then defend
\nChemistry is intricate
\nThe need is to be sure
\nHow to balance chemicals
\nThe need to know the law
\nThe positive composition
\nAnd really what it’s for<\/p>\n
Synthetics are the problem
\nAnd specifics too can be
\nVery highly toxic
\nFor those
\nthat are sensitively
\nAbsorbing and attracting
\nParticularly those who
\nreceive a foreign substance
\nWhich Do certainly reach into
\nThe immune and nervous systems
\nCausing chaos there
\nAnd predatory animals
\nThen are bound to share<\/p>\n
Take the Chinook Salmon
\nAlso called the King
\nIt’s really being poisoned
\nOil spills really bring
\nIt to a head and PCB’s
\nAnd other nasty stuff
\nPBDE’s flame retardants
\nLife for them is tough
\nIn our textiles and coatings
\nAnd finishing for they
\nGet into the fishes guts
\nAnd really make them pay<\/p>\n
And who lives on these salmon
\nThe orca the black soul
\nSuffering from boat noise
\nBut losing its control
\nThe toxins now from industry
\nIs causing so much harm
\nCalves are dying rapidly
\nIt is hard to stay calm
\nWith so much terror in the seas
\nAnd the earlier times when we
\nStole the orca’s for the parks
\nThe Sea world symphony
\nAnd when this hunting is carried out
\nOther orca’s die
\nSo with so many victims
\nThere in lies the reason why<\/p>\n
Orca’s are now suffering
\nWith salmon less and less
\nThose still swimming toxic
\nGiving them such stress
\nDDT is still around
\nAnd is still affecting they
\nAre suffering from man UN kind
\nWho makes cetaceans pay
\nA high price for his arrogance
\nOn any given day<\/p>\n
Flame retardants get into the
\nMarrow
\nThey accumulate and weaken
\nAnd we know
\nThey are a serious threat to all and sundry
\nAnd FUKUSHIMA is part of the flow
\nThe Pacific as we know is radioactive
\nDenied by Science which appears to me
\nSad creating what can only be described
\nAs a really terribly sick anomaly<\/p>\n
And so we see the orca’s really struggling
\nThe salmon suffering as more buildings are
\nPut upon the flood plain
\nDegrading salmon habitats
\nLogging sediments
\nLife seems so in vain
\nPharmaceutical drugs washed every which way
\nAgricultural run offs too cause stress
\nThis is what is happening all around the planet
