Bolivian soldiers
\nI can’t accept
\nthe premise that
\nyou would
\nstretch a live soul
\non a frame
\nand kill them
\nbecause you could<\/p>\n
strays, that’s souls
\nput out to fend for
\nthemselves on
\nthe street
\nafter having been loved
\nin homes
\nwhich must unseat<\/p>\n
the psyche, the emotions
\nits heinous and its vile
\nand being sentient
\nand humane
\nits hard to reconcile<\/p>\n
how anybody in their
\nright mind
\neven trained in war
\nwould participate
\nin such a cruel and
\nmindless sport
\nwhat for?<\/p>\n
why, a living target?
\nit makes no sense at all
\nexcept perhaps in a lewd sick way
\nthat you could over rule
\nyour instincts not to want to kill
\na living entity
\nand up against that awful wall
\nyou break with decency<\/p>\n
I say that
\nwith a heavy heart
\nand hands that shake,
\nfor I
\ncan never realize
\nthe pain
\nand woe that
\nmust apply<\/p>\n
to soldiers put in
\nthis position
\nunless of course
\nthey do
\nbecome more like machines
\nwhich all this war
\nis inclined to do<\/p>\n
the training,
\nand the diet
\nand the consequences to
\nthe human individual
\nwho is clearly
\nturned into
\na monster,
\nmost horrific
\ndehumanized
\nand made
\nbrainwashed
\ninto thinking
\nits all part
\nof the trade<\/p>\n
the soldiers breaks
\nand thus partakes
\nin sprees
\nof death until
\nthere’s no way back
\nand by that time
\nof course
\nthey can and will<\/p>\n
sensitivity
\ndeemed a weakness
\nclearly those bereft
\nof it
\nare the true warriors
\nthe survivors
\nwho are left<\/p>\n
who will spill
\nthe blood of babies
\nwho will kill
\nand not be killed
\nwho will carry out
\nwhatever task
\nsuch practices
\ninstilled<\/p>\n
little do they realize
\nthat the spirit overcomes
\nthe sensitive will conquer
\nthat mindless action, numbs
\nthe warrior
\nbecomes a weaker person
\nin that sense
\nand returning to
\nnormality
\nremains forever tense<\/p>\n
forever lost,
\nthe fury and the evil
\nof the war
\nkills them in the end
\nthey take their own lives
\nand whats more<\/p>\n
remember every soul
\nthey shot
\nno matter who they were
\nthey cannot live, each face
\ncomes back to haunt them
\nwhich all their so called comrades
\ncan confer<\/p>\n
Back to the troubled canines
\nswept up off the street
\nand taken to the training grounds
\nand strung up to complete
\nthe vile and awful training
\nin Bolivia or elsewhere
\nthat long term kills humanity
\nand heightens our despair<\/p>\n
Lets join together
\n all of us
\nLets light a candle for
\nthe souls
\nthat have been sacrificed
\nTarget Practice
\nfor the war<\/p>\n
that takes its toll
\non every
\nliving creature
\nand on us, too
\nI beg you sign
\nthe petition
\nfor what else
\ncan we do<\/p>\n
Bolivia must now realize
\nits karma
\nshocks us all
\nand put an end
\nto this evil
