I had lost the will to live
\nFor love had lost its way with me
\nNobody appeared to care
\nThough I was earnestly
\nPrepared to go on with my life
\nBut weaker by the day
\nFinally collapsing in the street
\nAnd there I did lay<\/p>\n
Flies were soon all over me
\nOf course I was aware
\nBut there no one in my life
\nNobody did care
\nWhat was the use of fighting
\nNobody would know
\nIf I died tomorroW
\nNobody would show<\/p>\n
And so I laid down peacefully
\nThe world could go on by
\nI was feeling terrible
\nWith big tears in each eye
\nWith pain and difficulty breathing
\nThe dirty polluted air
\nI just felt best lay here
\nBecause no one did care<\/p>\n
In the heat I just felt awful
\nAnd knew death was close by
\nComing with his sickle
\nTo scoop me up and why
\nNobody did love me
\nNo not any more
\nNobody cared two hoots
\nAnd I was very sore<\/p>\n
Then a man came with a blanket
\nHis soft warm hands I felt
\nI felt his breath draw closer
\nActually he knelt
\nDown and really comforted me
\nPicked me up and I
\nWas soon inside his ambulance
\nBut didn’t understand why<\/p>\n
I was taken to a compound
\nWhere angels dressed in white
\nHad great big wings all flapping
\nAngels of the night
\nSmiles and soft hands
\nCaring souls
\nIV fluids gave
\nSomeone clearly loved me
\nWhich made me just feel brave<\/p>\n
Enough to open up my eyes
\nTo look up at them and
\nRealise that life was coming back to me
\nAnd grand
\nAs it was, it was worth a fight
\nAnd fight I did till now
\nI can walk and I can feel
\nAnd really you all know how<\/p>\n
For love is very important
\nIn any dear souls life
\nTo love and be loved and to care
\nAnd share
\nThrough all the strife
\nThese angels they were beautiful
\nAnd now just look at me
\nI am walking I am running
\nI am really so happy<\/p>\n
My story was worth telling
\nFor there are angels everywhere
\nSo when you feel like giving up
\nAnd entering despair
\nLook around for someone
\nTo love and tell them you
\nLove them now with all your heart
\nAs I most certainly do<\/p>\n
