Horses are companions they are friends
\nTo humans who
\nKeep them for whatever reason
\nFor us humans do
\nThey work for us in many ways
\nare compatible and kind
\nSo to hear so many are being slaughtered
\nIt really blows my mind<\/p>\n
Slaughter houses for horses
\nIt was never meant to be
\nBut many are being used for meat
\nIn Mexico we see
\nAnd In Canada a lot of corpses
\nShipped to far off places
\nUnwanted animals slaughtered
\nAnd you should see their faces<\/p>\n
The captive bolt was never made for horses
\nNot at all
\nA horse has a long neck and it means
\nGenerally as a rule
\nTrying to stun a horse
\nIs far more difficult than a cow
\nAnd therefore many are still alive
\nYes still alive and how!
\nWhen they are eviscerated
\nAnd this is wholly wrong
\nSlaughtering in some open house
\nWhere Horses do not belong<\/p>\n
But this is what is happening
\nTo young horses by the way
\nNobody want an old horse to eat
\nSo the young ones have to pay
\nIf they don’t run fast enough
\nOr are sick in any way
\nIt’s take them down the slaughterhouse
\nAnd get paid that’s what they say<\/p>\n
A bale of hay a week is too much
\nNow it does appear
\nAnd many horses meet a horrid death
\nAnd suffer fear
\nWe humans are a rotten bunch
\nLacking understanding
\nWe take the money and turn our heads
\nNo care for where they are landing<\/p>\n
Frightened out of their lives they are
\nSlaughtered in abject pain
\nWith bulging eyes and broken limbs
\nTheir young lives all in vain
\nAnd the slaughtering was made possible
\nBy Obama who agreed
\nMore horses should slaughtered
\nReally just to feed<\/p>\n
The corporates and their profits
\nAnd this is now the thing
\nThousands are being slaughtered
\nAnd shipped now just to bring
\nProfit into America this is what they do
\nTotally heartless breeders
\nThere may one near you<\/p>\n
We have to tell our neighbours
\nWe have to help and try
\nTo stop this bloody carnage
\nNow we all know why
\nA young horse gets a fair price
\nFrom the meat trade and so they
\nCan make a profit from this
\nTrade
\nWhich is growing every day<\/p>\n
Whilst it’s wrong to slaughter animals
\nThe horse gets a bad crack
\nTheir heads move on their longer necks
\nAnd the slaughtermen so lack
\nThe where for all
\nto slaughter
\nIn Infact in a kindlier way
\nSo the horse goes through such torment
