The underworld has sent her queen
\nTo lead the merry dance
\nAnd how resplendent she appears
\nHer nature to enhance
\nEach year it’s the last harvest
\nA dance of dying souls
\nThe grain the fruit the animals
\nAll or some our goals<\/p>\n
The goddess with her sickle
\nCollects the ears and seed
\nThe apples hang in bunches
\nEach rosy blush indeed
\nPormona raises spirits
\nThe children come to be
\nAll part of the musings
\nOf the winter harmony<\/p>\n
The slayings some will do them
\nThe sacrifice can be
\nMassive on the altar
\nOf the goddess riding free
\nLife feeds on life
\nWhatever fed on sun and rain
\nWill feed us through
\nThe darkness and endure
\nThe cool refrain<\/p>\n
More of us are now feeling
\nThe wrath that some do feel
\nAs darkness comes to mornings
\nAnd the afternoons
\nTo reveal
\nto them the time
\nIs coming for their own end to be
\nAnd thus no doubt
\nThey enter their time
\nOf tragedy<\/p>\n
For it is the last harvest
\nThe blood harvest some say
\nBut it is not a blood harvest
\nFor me now anyway
\nFor me it’s grains and fruits
\nTHat do fulfill my need to be
\nTaking on the darkness of the Winter
\nThat we see<\/p>\n
A time to think of the ancestors
\nThat walk ed the path before
\nAnd the need for us to also be
\nGood ancestors for sure
\nTo lay a path for others
\nWho will look upon us and
\nWho taught us to be frugal
\nOn this green and pleasant land<\/p>\n
The great curtain descendeth
\nAnd all the world appears
\nTo be clothed in its aura
\nAnd gradually it clears
\nWe can and should remember
\nThe ancestors who plyed
\nThe world we now ply gracefully
\nUntil they day they died<\/p>\n
Standing in our circle
\nWith the sentinels around
\nWith the frost now gaining energy
\nTo whiten all the ground
\nIt is now within all of us
\nTo enjoy the hearty food
\nTo warm ourselves beside the fire
\nWith winter surplus stewed<\/p>\n
Let’s feel the want of warming
\nLet’s the storming vanquish so
\nAs we sit inside our sweet cocoons
\nAnd Watch the falling snow
\nSettle on the rooftops
\nAnd remember in the eaves
\nWe share our warmth with other friends
\nFor rising heat achieves<\/p>\n
A solace for the feathered souls
\nWho sought out our abode
\nTo nestle in the darkness
\nTo just unload their load
\nTo share the warmth that’s rising
\nIn the shadows high
\nWho also share the wheel life
